General Hospital Spoilers January 9: When Drew Interrupts Carly, Will She Dismiss or Destroy Him?

Fresh off officially becoming a Congressman, with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) by his side, Drew (Cameron Mathison) must return to Port Charles to face the news of what happened to Michael (Chad Duell). Unfortunately for him, he’s about to have an encounter with Carly (Laura Wright).

When Drew interrupts Carly, how does she react? Even before Michael was injured, the Metro Court Hotel co-owner was over her ex. Willow and Wiley (Viron Weaver) being in Washington, D.C., to see Drew’s swearing-in was unacceptable. Carly practically wanted to fly to the nation’s capital to give him a piece of her mind. So what does she do when forced to talk to Drew? Does she dismiss him, deflect whatever he says, or does she take the opportunity to destroy him verbally?

Answers and Requests

Sonny (Maurice Benard) wants answers. Of course, Sonny will want to know 1) if his son will be okay and 2) who caused his penthouse to explode. And once he finds out who caused the explosion, he’ll want to know the location of the guy (or guys) that did this. Should he go directly to Spoon Island, where Sidwell (Carlos Rota) just moved in unbeknownst to anyone but Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) in Port Charles? Or maybe he should track down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)? It doesn’t matter. Sonny will find out who did this to his son, and he will surely make them pay.

Meanwhile, Jason (Steve Burton) makes a request of Lucas (Van Hansis), who let Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) take the lead on saving Michael. Does Jason ask Lucas to watch out for Carly (Laura Wright) so he can help Sonny find the perpetrators who caused the explosion? Stone Cold will definitely be in protective mode after this tragic murder attempt.

Aid and Advice

Anna (Finola Hughes) needs Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) help. Lately, Anna has often needed Brennan’s help. Has she directed her focus to what went down at Sonny’s penthouse? Are the Digitalis murders at GH taking front and center for the Port Charles PD? Or is this still about Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and the fact that he and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) have disappeared again? The cases are piling up. What does Anna need from the WSB Station Chief here in Port Charles this time?

Finally, Nina (Cynthia Watros) advises Willow. After all, she faces a devastated family right now. And Willow must be dealing with her own devastation and guilt. Michael’s family knows that while he was suffering, she was in D.C. with Drew, that she took Wiley with her, and that Michael wanted a divorce. Emotions are running high, so Willow will need to be delicate. Will Nina be able to help her with all of that? Because she’s not known for her tact.
