It won’t be long now before we find out who survived and who died at the church. Will Carly Corinthos Morgan (Laura Wright) get to dance with her husband at the wedding reception? Or, will her family be shopping for a coffin?
Speaking of Carly’s husband, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) definitely isn’t it. Will he pay the price for romancing his best friend’s wife when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) comes home? We can’t see the mob boss being very happy about this situation.
While Sonny’s homecoming is sure to be triumphant for some, it won’t be for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Not only does she have to explain why she kept Sonny’s existence a secret, but Peter August (Wes Ramsey) too. General Hospital History
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
Bringing the Drama
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
