GH spoilers have done nothing but point out one obstacle after another to Sonny and Nina actually making it down the aisle, much less to either saying, “I Do.” Both are keeping secrets — of omission if not outright lies.
GH Spoilers Speculation
That’s no way to go into a marriage. (Well, it is. In Port Charles, it’s pretty much the only way. But it’s no way to go into a good marriage.) Will there be a new Mrs. Corinthos before 2023 comes to an end?
General Hospital: If at First, You Don’t Succeed
Not only are secrets the most commonly invited guests to a General Hospital wedding but so are false starts. We can see how, when the truth comes out about Nina (Cynthia Watros) turning in Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly (Laura Wright) for crimes they had no intention of ever paying for, Sonny (Maurice Benard) will be moved to throw some barware and sputter how he will not stand for betrayal! Even though this has nothing to do with him! And Carly and Drew are actually guilty!
GH: Take Two
But Sonny always flies off the handle. And then he always calms down. Which is why he may come around to, if not exactly forgiving Nina, understanding why she did it. (Obviously, the fact that Carly and Drew actually committed the crime they were convicted of won’t be the thing that saves Sonny. That’s no reason to arrest somebody! If that were the case, why Sonny himself would need to be in jail. And that’s just silly.)
GH Spoilers: End of the Road
So, while it may not be the forever end, it is the end for now. No wedding this calendar year. After all, since Nina is the one who turned Drew in, that means she is the one most responsible for the beating he received in jail. She, and not Sonny recruiting Drew to help him spy on Cyrus (Jeff Kober), is the true villain here. And Sonny can’t condone anyone who puts another person’s life in danger for their own selfish ends.
