GH Spoilers Speculation: Sasha Destroys Gladys By Never Forgiving Her

GH spoilers teased Sasha putting the pieces together regarding who did what to her — and why. It may not have been Colonel Mustard in the library with a candlestick, but it was Sasha’s mother-in-law — and her doctor — with drugs that ended up putting Sasha in a mental hospital. All so Gladys could steal Sasha’s money to pay off her gambling debts. Where do they go from here?

Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) will likely try to weasel out of her responsibility by reminding Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) that she’s a victim here, too. Remember how Sasha lost her baby? Well, little Liam was Gladys’s grandson, too.

And remember how Sasha lost her husband? Well, Brando (Johnny Wactor) was Gladys’s son. Gladys suffered. So, the money-stealing and the drugging could be considered post-traumatic stress disorder, right? Sasha may be angry now, but there is a chance she will forgive her because, in the end, they are family, and she may think Brando would have wanted her to forgive his mother.

General Hospital Nice Girls Finish Last

Sasha is a nice, understanding, sympathetic, empathetic person. But even nice, understanding, sympathetic, and empathetic people have their limits. And we suspect Sasha has hit hers. Gladys has already come crawling to her, all teary-eyed and full of explanations, but Sasha has drawn the line. And she will continue to do so as she will continue to let Gladys have it. But eventually, something will dawn on Sasha.

Gladys has a disease just like Sasha — she’s an addict. Gladys will remind her that her addiction is gambling, while Sasha was hooked on pills. That will hit home for Sasha and will make it easier for her to perhaps, one day, forgive her mother-in-law.

GH Spoilers: Clear the Decks

But more likely, when Gladys talks about Liam and Brando, Sasha will laugh in her face. Would Liam and Brando have wanted Gladys to steal from Sasha? Would they have wanted her to pay a doctor to drug Sasha into psychosis?

Is that what she thinks it means to be Sasha’s guardian? Gladys was supposed to do what was best for Sasha. Gladys did what was best for Gladys. She may have been grieving, and she may have been confused. But neither will ever justify her actions. And Sasha will never ever forgive Gladys for what she’s done to her.
