GH spoilers reveal Eddie Maine making a true Savoy debut with Olivia cheering him on in the audience. Could that mean she is falling for her own husband’s alter-ego?

All Olivia has wanted since Ned (Wally Kurth) fell into the pool and woke up as an older version of Eddie Maine is her own husband back. She felt terrible about doubting him right before his accident, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t resentful of Eddie, a man her own Ned clearly wanted to be. His subconscious turned him into Eddie, and she didn’t like him at all. Except, now she does and doesn’t know what’s come over her.

Neddie even finds himself enjoying Olivia’s company more and more, meaning before he inevitably becomes Ned again, Olivia might find herself in love with Eddie Maine and not even want her husband back. Maybe when he returns, he can be a true combination of both men.

General Hospital: Just Infatuation?

Neddie and Olivia might toy with the idea of becoming a pair before Eddie reverts back to Ned mode, but in the end, there is a chance they find that they have way too many differences to ever make things work. Olivia married a sensible businessman and not a rock star. Eddie wants to be on the road and not tied to a woman with a small child running a big hotel business. So, while they might get together until Eddie is Ned again, it can never work.

GH: Neddie Isn’t Ned

In the end, that might be the whole problem. There is a good chance Olivia will just have to accept that Eddie Maine is not Ned Quartermaine and vice versa. Yes, Olivia likes what she sees now, but she needs a man who will be devoted to her and not long for a life on stage with just himself and his guitar.
