GH Weekly Recap

We had a pretty intense week on General Hospital, seeing some milestones that we won’t soon forget!

The 2018 Nurses’ Ball saw Peter delivering Maxie’s baby by the side of the road, then getting into a revealing confrontation with Anna.

Moving forward to 2019, we watched Shiloh causing some pretty acute concerns for several people… partially by having Sam as his date, and partially by exploding at Willow.

All of that was soon eclipsed by another villain’s presence, though, when Ryan made his terrible return, and the whole of Port Charles prepared for a decidedly unpleasant outcome. We’ve covered a lot of ground, and there’s more over the horizon! Here are the spoilers!

GH Weekly Teasers

Things kick off with a tension-filled hostage crisis, during which everyone’s wits are tested… and Carly redeclares her love for Sonny.

Their relationship goes through more trials, too – and even a brush with death – but ultimately sees their wedding in the hospital chapel. There are even darker chapters ahead, though, and after the untimely death of Morgan, the pair will be tested like never before.

A Look Ahead

This past week was pretty interesting, and the coming ones may bring some unexpected developments. With things being what they are, it’s easy to miss important moments… but that’s why Soap Hub is here to help. If you have any questions, thoughts, or even theories, don’t hesitate to share them with the community!

What did you like most about this week? What are you most excited to see next week? General Hospital’s History

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running sudser is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running daytime drama, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) gripping romance and wedding, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH knows how to please their viewers.

Bringing the Drama

More then five decades of gripping drama has kept the daytime drama on the air as other soap operas were axed. GH is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air, with the other three being Days of our Lives (DAYS), The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
