We had something of an unpredictable time on General Hospital this week, and it wasn’t just because of preemptions and schedule-changes! Nelle was finally able to hold her baby, but it wasn’t quite the cathartic moment that she had hoped it would be.

Part of the problem was Michael’s discovery that the young woman was living with Brad… and after he found out, he moved her into the Quartermaine mansion as a means of keeping her away from the child.

Parental relationships were strained for the Cassadines, too, when Spencer all but entirely rejected his father’s attempts at reconnecting. We might have been in rough water before, but next week, we’ll be on the rocks! Here are the spoilers!

After an unpleasant surprise leaves Sasha feeling shaken, she and Michael take steps to ensure that they can stay ahead of any potential threats.

While they worry about enemies, a potential alliance begins to form elsewhere, as Nelle tries appealing to Brooke Lynn’s better nature. As the past and the present collide, Jordan stays focused on the future, fearing that the worst may end up being inevitable.

General Hospital’s History

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running sudser is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running daytime drama, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) gripping romance and wedding, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH knows how to please their viewers.

Bringing the Drama

More then five decades of gripping drama has kept the daytime drama on the air as other soap operas were axed. GH is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air, with the other three being Days of our Lives (DAYS), The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B).
