According to upcoming General Hospital spoilers, Sonny still thinks he’s Mike, but fans like to think it’s a question of “when” and not “if” that everyone in Port Charles will discover that Sonny, played by Maurice Benard, is alive, living as Mike in Nixon Falls. Could a special food unique to Sonny play a factor in the inevitable discovery?

Sonny may not know who he is, but he still knows how to make the special Italian sauce and he’s whipped up a batch for folks at the Tan-O. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) shared some with Trina (Sydney Mikayla), who loved it so much she took the product home with her to Port Charles. If someone who knows Sonny is given a sample of the sauce, then it’s quite possible that that person might question where it came from.
This potential tasty discovery just might prompt someone close to Sonny to return to Nixon Falls and do some investigating. They might want to know who got the recipe? Did they know Sonny? And in the process, this person could discover that Sonny is alive and well.

A likely candidate to taste this sauce that Trina has is her pal Josslyn (Eden McCoy). She’s Sonny’s stepdaughter and lived in the same house with him. However, the GH writers are experts at throwing twists at viewers. While it’s totally logical for someone who is already close to Sonny be the one to taste the sauce, we could totally see it being someone else. Maybe an adversary of Sonny’s will discover where he’s living at the same time one of his loved ones learns the news?
It’d be a race to Nixon Falls to see who would get to him first! Let’s not discount the possibility of Sonny regaining his memory on his own. He already knows the recipe for his marinara sauce. Maybe he’ll recall more as time passes? The question is will he ever return to being the same man that he was before he developed amnesia?
Veteran GH fans recall that food has played a key role in past storylines. Remember Heather’s (Robin Mattson) fondness for the BLT sandwiches at Kelly’s and how that menu item ended up as one of Franco’s (Roger Howarth) paintings? After the Quartermaines lost their fortune, Lila’s (Anna Lee) Pickle-Lila relish put the family back to living the high life. Stay tuned to see what happens next.
