General Hospital spoilers for Monday, November 12 features a Sonny-centric episode that has Sonny reflecting on one very consequential act that changed his life forever.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) thought he had his problems solved by showing Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) her parents were not who she thought they were.
One was a mob lawyer and the other a mob mistress who had her husband killed.
So, if Sonny killed someone who was unscrupulous to begin with, then he’s absolved, right? Margaux gives up, right?
Not so fast. Sonny now has to deal with his own self and what he did as only a boy. He didn’t have to pull that trigger. He could have ran…ran as far away from that mob life as possible and never turned back.
Of course, Sonny will encounter people throughout his life who have had influence over him as he imagines an alternate reality.
Dominic Zamprogna makes a one-time (for now) return as Dante so Sonny can have a few onscreen moments with the only child that comes from his life in Bensonhurst. The father-son scenes will move you, as will scenes of Sonny on his own.
Sonny also has moments of reflection with Dante’s mother, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). What if he had stayed with her? What if he never had a mob life she thought she needed to protect her son from? Would he have then raised Dante with her?
