General Hospital spoilers for November 29, 2023, tease a team-up, someone opening up, and a couple characters cranking up the tension in the wake of a murder.
This week’s breaking news? Austin Gatlin-Holt (ex-Roger Howarth) has been murdered. Looks like the police and the citizens of Port Charles are finally privy to this tragic development. The somewhat shady doctor is gone, and that means trouble is brewing big time.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) is already feeling validated — he never liked Dr. Gatlin-Holt. What’s more, he never liked Austin’s connection to Ava (Maura West), the mother of one of his kids. So, it makes sense when he confronts Ms. Jerome. Sonny knows Ava’s arguably the one who knows Austin the best, he probably talked to him last and wasn’t too happy with him at the time of his death. Look for the mob boss to straight up say to the ex-mob queen that if she killed Austin (because it’s plausible, let’s be real), she needs to let him know. Obviously, if the answer’s yes, Sonny will take care of things like he so often does.
In the Port Charles criminal justice system, the residents are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. First, it’s the PCPD, the cops, who investigate the crime. In this case, look for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Chase (Josh Swickard) to collaborate on an investigation — Austin’s murder. Aren’t these two partners? Aren’t they always supposed to team up?

Meanwhile, the second of the equally important groups isn’t the district attorneys. They’re PC’s shady lawyers: Diane (Carolyn Hennessy), Scott (Kin Shriner), and Martin (Michael E. Knight). In this particular instance, Martin’s stepping up to help Finn (Michael Easton) with his malpractice lawsuit. The infectious diseases doctor needs all the help he can get because, apparently, this might be a career-ending situation for him.
Evidently, playing bingo is dangerous. At least the way Gloria (Ellen Travolta) plays it. After accidentally burning the Quartermaine turkey on Thanksgiving, she confessed all to Lois (Rena Sofer). During bingo at a church, she angered the wrong person. The Russian woman she yelled at is married to an Uncle Pete, who’s as dangerous an individual as it comes. Now, Gloria needs a little help from her family to deal with this volatile situation.
Finally, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is doing her own confessing. Teasers say she’s opening up to her mom. What does she have to get off her chest? Is she affected by Austin’s death? After all, the two once had a bit of a thing. Does it have something to do with Deception? Or maybe the life she’s trying to provide for her kids? Whatever it is, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) will know what to say to make things better. That’s what mothers do, right?
