General Hospital spoilers for Monday, July 6, 2020 reveal a tragic moment for Sonny and Carly as their worst nightmare comes true in this blast from Sonny and his kids’ past… April 4, 2008, to be exact. You won’t want to miss a shocking moment of this classic episode.
Michael (Dylan Cash) and Kate (Megan Ward) have a pretty honest conversation about Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his business, and Michael apologizes for accidentally shooting her. But Michael will call baloney on some of the things Kate says. He knows who and what his father is. She thinks Sonny’s business will no longer include violence. Sure, Jan. Just you wait.
Sure enough, Dr. Ian Devlin (Seamus Dever) lets Claudia (Sarah Joy Brown) know that he’s got sniper in hand, ready for action — with Sonny as their target. Next up on the agenda was Claudia informing her brother Johnny (Brandon Barash) that they needed to get alibis that could stand up to scrutiny, so hop to it.
The mob boss lets his guards know that he won’t need them tonight, as he plans to meet Michael but is delayed by Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who has a lot of questions about a dead body near the docks. Dead bodies in that location usually have a tie to Sonny — and this one also has a tenuous tie to Ric (Rick Hearst) so she wants some answers. Good luck, Alexis.
At the warehouse, Sonny will meet with the customs agent but is thrilled to see Kate and Michael. Don’t expect their happiness to last long though. Ian has his literal sight set on the mobster. Expect all hell to break loose when he fires. Sonny will protect Kate — but poor Michael pays the price of being in the wrong place at the wrong time — around Sonny.
Elsewhere, Jason (Steve Bond) has the gall to not be by Sonny’s side while his life is at stake — instead, he’s talking relationships with Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) of all people. Spin wants to see Jason happy with Liz (Rebecca Herbst), but Jason knows he can’t leave the business — he’s tried and failed in the past. Robin (Kimberly McCullough) talks to Liz about Jason too.
But Jason’s day isn’t over. He has to stop Carly (Laura Wright) from losing her temper since Kate was taking Michael to see Sonny. You think she’s bothered now, Jason, just wait until she finds out her son was shot! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
