General Hospital spoilers (GH) for Wednesday, December 20 promise a day of heated confrontations and dashed expectations. You won’t want to miss a moment of this dramatic episode.

Paternity Puzzle
Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is a detective and can spot something wrong in a flash. He took one look at that novel that’s Victor Cassadine’s medical records and knew something was totally off.

Nothing has ever felt right about his mother’s claim that he’s a Cassadine and now that he’s having a baby of his own, he has to know.

To that end, he confronts Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and demands to know the truth. With his sister back in town and her own father now the center of a story, one has to wonder if Obrecht didn’t get around after all and has two children from the same man.

Maternity Worries
Speaking of Nathan and children, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) begins freaking out that there’s no way she can be a full-time mom. Sure, she already is a mother, but doesn’t have a hand in raising her daughter.

Felicia (Kristina Wagner) is the one who has to be her sounding board–and her reassurance.

Wedding Wonders
Mothers, daughters, and parentage seem to be a theme as Laura (Genie Francis) prepares to wed Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and has to ask Lulu (Emme Rylan) a favor. Kevin also has to ask Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) a favor.

Baby Mama
And then there’s another mom-to-be to think about named Nelle (Chloe Lanier). She thinks she has the ticket to easy street with a Quartermaine-Corinthos pregnancy, but Michael (Chad Duell) tells her there is no way he will support her.

However, does he have another idea? Because spoilers reveal Nelle catches a break.

He’s My Brother
Finally, Griffin (Matt Cohen) has to think of his father and why he’s dead when he visits Ava (Maura West). Julian’s (William deVry) freedom and Ava’s love for her brother might be the thing Griffin can’t get past.
