General Hospital spoilers for Friday, June 19, 2020, reveal hurt and pain over Morgan’s loss taking center stage in this blast from Sonny and Carly’s past… October 12, 2016, to be exact. You won’t want to miss a moment of this heartbreaking classic episode.
‘Jason’ (Billy Miller) — well really Drew but by now you know the drill with these older episodes — tries to help Sonny (Maurice Benard) figure out what happened but Sonny just wants to believe he couldn’t possibly be the reason that Morgan (Bryan Craig) is dead. Sonny swore he called off the hit on Julian (William deVry) but he’ll get to the bottom of it.
Michael (Chad Duell) returns from a business trip and wants to know why Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) wants to see him. Dante will realize quickly that his brother hasn’t spoken to his folks and it’s left to Dante to break the bad news. When Michael learns it was Julian’s car Morgan was driving, he quickly realizes no one wanted him dead more than Sonny.
So when Michael sees Sonny and Jason arrive at the police station, it will be a tense moment between father and son. So tense in fact, Jason will need to step in and offers to take Michael home. Dante just wants to get to the bottom of things while Michael will ask his father if the revenge was worth it.
Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) is nudged awake by her mother. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) is there to try to help but Carly is momentarily in denial about her son’s death until she sees Sonny’s muddy jacket — and all of the pain comes flooding back once again. Dante will come by and give Carly what few answers he has about the accident.
When Dante lets Carly know who the intended target of the bomb was, she demands to know if Sonny is the one at fault. Of course, Dante doesn’t have those answers yet and simply returns her son’s phone to her and leaves. When Sonny comes home, Carly will lay into him like never before, accusing him of being the reason Morgan is gone.
They won’t be the only ones mourning their son. As word spreads around town, other people will have strong reactions to learning of his death. It’s an emotional day in Port Charles — and its impact continues to be felt to this day. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
