General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Corners Nina in Heated Showdown

General Hospital spoilers for the Wednesday, May 29 episode focus on massive confrontations, misgivings, and even a moving situation or two.

Clash of the Ex-Besties

While there’s been much talk about Sonny (Maurice Benard) isolating himself, it looks like Ava (Maura West) is not doing much better. Her attempts at making herself invaluable to her roomie have been moderately successful. In the process, she lost a best friend in Nina (Cynthia Watros — who talks about the end of the Nina/Ava friendship here), so she can be Sonny’s lone supporter.

Ever since their falling out, any interaction between the two has been icy at best. It’s time for another face-to-face. For this one, Ava is doing the confronting. What does she have to say to Ms. Reeves? Nothing good if teasers use the word “confronts.” Nina hasn’t been holding back her disdain for her ex-friend. Maybe Ava wants Nina to keep her name out of her mouth?

Movings and Misgivings

Thankfully, Ava still has Trina (Tabyana Ali), although, admittedly, Trina’s mind is on many other things. She’s still processing losing Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). And she’s figuring out how to balance that grief with her want to get a semblance of her life back. One of those things involves her and Joss (Eden McCoy) pursuing a move. This must mean it’s off-campus living for the best friends. They recently talked about taking this big step. They must have decided to do it. (Check out the latest GH Weekly Update here)

Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has misgivings. What about? It could mean she doubts how she and Finn (Michael Easton) faltered after Gregory’s death. Another option is that she has misgivings over telling Portia (Brook Kerr) — her friend and Co-CEO of GH — about Finn’s drinking. If that’s true, the Head Nurse might want to think about damage control.

Devotion and Passion

Elsewhere, Alexis’s renewed passion for the law is exactly why she’s fighting for her future so hard. Look for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn — who talks about reuniting with Lane Davies here) to get the last word. Fergus (Lane Davies) will no doubt hate that his opponent gets the last word. But he’ll learn that that’s what Alexis does. What will the panel decide?

Finally, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) supports her new husband Chase (Josh Swickard), who’s currently grieving his father’s death. And even though the two just got married, the Deception executive and music producer affirms her devotion to Chase. Surely, he needs that boost of strength and confirmation of love right now. Little things like that tend to get you through the day when you feel despair and sadness.
