Valentin was, to say the least, not thrilled. In fact, he threatened to petition the courts for full custody of his daughter. And, to be fair, Valentin has sound reasoning. He might lie, scheme, and canoodle with Nina (Cynthia Watros) — sometimes he does all three at once — but Charlotte has never gone missing on his watch nor has she ever leaped from a great height.

It really seems like we’re be geared up for a Who Shot Valentin storyline. But if the writers were to subvert expectations would you consider that inspired plotting or a wasted opportunity?
“How many chances at love does one person get?” Well, let’s see Maxie (Kristen Storms). At last count, you’ve had three — Spinelli, Nathan, and Peter. That gorgeous but deadly long-haired Aussie block doesn’t count and your first husband is best left forgotten.
