General Hospital spoilers for the Friday, June 7 episode focus on strange encounters, damage control, concerning behaviors, and more.
Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) personal life has suddenly fallen apart. While she and her family stay strong, her relationship with Finn (Michael Easton) frays more and more by the minute. His drinking is escalating, and his guilt over his father’s death has caused him to spiral big time. The fact that he turned on her when she was just trying to help only adds to their problems.
She already turned to Portia (Brook Kerr), but there’s a bit of a conflict there since she is Finn’s boss. This time, she turns to an even more impartial confidante. Look for Elizabeth to confide in Stella (Vernee Watson), who’s really good at helping people see the right path. Will she be able to work her magic? (GH alum Cari Shayne talks about Karen’s possible resurrection here)
Thankfully, Jake (Hudson West) popped up again this week. First, he attended Gregory’s memorial service with Aiden and their mom. And now he gets shocked by what he sees. Hmm…does this have anything to do with Finn and his downward spiral? What or who does he encounter? And how does he react to the situation?
Get ready for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) to strategize. Since Finn’s meltdown is taking center stage, they must be attempting to figure out how to get Finn some help without him pushing them away. Because Finn gets downright belligerent when his back’s up against a wall. Will the newlyweds discover a way to get Finn the support he needs? (Find out which GH actors are presenting at this week’s Daytime Emmys here)
It’s not often teasers suggest something positive for Nina (Cynthia Watros). But it’s happening. Look for the Crimson head to get a welcome surprise. Does Sonny (Maurice Benard) deign to speak to her? Does Drew (Cameron Mathison — Soap Hub on Drew and GH’s political history here) do something nice for her? Or maybe Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) deigns to speak to her. What’s the something nice that happens?
Finally, Dex (Evan Hofer) issues an invitation. Over the last few weeks, he and Joss (Eden McCoy) have connected in a friendly way. Are the two getting closer to a reconciliation? Does he make a bold move and ask her out?
