You know how it goes–if you spend New Year’s Eve with someone on a soap, there’s a good chance you’ll spend a whole lot of the year with them, too. Let’s see if that happens on General Hospital (GH) in 2018.
Two years ago, Sam came close to kissing the man she thought was Jason on New Year’s Eve at the Floating Rib, but this year she spends it playing dominoes and drinking tequila with the actual Jason at The Haunted Star, reminding her that feelings have this nagging way of doing what you don’t want them to do.
Will she kiss Jason at midnight or is that honor reserved for Drew? Well, anything’s possible, considering he’s having car trouble, and published reports say he eventually finds them in a position he doesn’t like.
Neither Jason nor Sam planned to spend New Year’s Eve together, but thanks to Carly playing matchmaker that’s just how things work out, so they spend the time with an old hobby that apparently dies hard.
Of course, Drew has Jason’s memories of dominoes and tequila and his own memories back when he and Sam spent time in Sonny’s safe house in 2016.
In fact, that could have been how and where Scout came to be.
The night causes Sam to rethink some of her most recent decisions, like letting Drew put a ring on it for Christmas. She’s been denying feeling anything for the man she thought Drew was, for what feels like forever, that it will be nice to see her break down some walls.
Jason hasn’t put any pressure on her, but he sure wouldn’t mind Sam coming to him. Yet, maybe Sam is waiting for him to come to her. Either way, Drew is still in the picture and not going anywhere anytime soon.
