In addition to Curtis’s big announcement, General Hospital spoilers for Friday, December 20, focus on Trina making a promise to Laura. Plus, Carly updates Sonny on family matters.
Nothing “Co” About This CEO
Curtis (Donnell Turner) wasn’t playing. He wanted to be the CEO of Aurora Media. He worked hard for the company while Drew campaigned his heart out. When Drew (Cameron Mathison) won the congressional election, he decided to cut Curtis out of the top spot and hand it over to Michael. That didn’t sit well with Curtis. He had no choice but to team up with Michael (Chad Duell). But it was his idea that led to Drew’s ouster.
Curtis’s scheme to give Drew the boot worked. It’s time to reap the rewards, which is why Curtis is making a big announcement. He’s Aurora’s sole CEO. And the gig is steady since he arranged with Michael to get the job uninterrupted for five years. No takesies backsies. Good on, Curtis.

Opportunity and Pride
Ric (Rick Hearst) needs another job right about now. Ava (Maura West) recently paid her bill, but it bounced. He shouldn’t be broke, but any little bit helps. Sure, he is consulting with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to help protect her from getting railroaded at GH over this digitalis killer business. Suddenly, Ric gets a surprising offer. Does Curtis want to hire him at Aurora? Or is the offer more criminal and less corporate?
Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is grieving Sam (formerly Kelly Monaco). She’s focusing much of her attention on Molly (Kristen Vaganos), who is now separated from TJ (Tajh Bellow) and living with her. Plus, she’s witnessing Kristina (Kate Mansi) hold on to her anger over what happened to the baby she carried. So why is Alexis suddenly having to swallow her pride? Does this involve Kristina or someone else?

Promises and an Update
It’s been closing in on a year since Spencer (formerly Nicholas Alexander Chavez) died. In the almost 11 months since her boyfriend went overboard and into the Seine River, Trina (Tabyana Ali) has mourned her man. However, she’s finally coming out at the other end of that grief. She’s back in school. She’s once again fostering her love of art history. And she’s making friends of the male persuasion, namely, Kai (Jens Austin Astrup). Why does Trina suddenly make a promise to Laura (Genie Francis)? Does she tell her she will always remember Spencer, but she will find a way to move on?

Finally, Carly (Laura Wright) updates Sonny (Maurice Benard) on family matters. He must feel out of the loop because there has been a lot going on. Carly has to tell him about Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) cheating on Michael and sleeping with Drew. What do you think Sonny’s reaction will be? Will he try to take Drew to the Pine Barrens? Is the Pine Barrens similar to the “train station” on the hit TV drama Yellowstone? Just asking.
