General Hospital spoilers for Friday, August 9, focus on conversations where our favorite characters confide in each other, seek help from each other, and shock each other.
Conflict Resolution
As we all know, the temperature of Laura (Genie Francis) and Portia’s conversations this summer is ice-cold. Portia (Brook Kerr) wants nothing to do with what Laura is trying to do regarding Heather’s poisoned hip replacement. In fact, her dissatisfaction with the mayor has gone so far that she wants the woman recalled for her poor choices and bad optics.
However, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Basically, look for the doctor and the mayor to talk about Heather’s situation. And if teasers are to be believed, the two actually hash things out. So, in the matter of a couple of days, are we near the end of both Sonny’s tampering meds mystery AND this Heather (Alley Mills) hip medical and psychological crisis? Thank you, soap gods! Opening Up
While Laura and Portia hash things out, Heather confides in Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst — who attended the GH Fan Club Weekend recently). After all, Heather loves GH’s Head Nurse. It’s one of the few residents of Port Charles Heather likes. So what does the Pentonville prisoner let loose? And what will Elizabeth do with this new knowledge?
The last few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for Sonny (Maurice Benard). It sounds like that isn’t over yet. Apparently, a request leaves Sonny reeling. Who has the power to leave Sonny reeling? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Community Support and Planning
Up next, Michael (Chad Duell) seeks Willow’s help. These days, Michael needs a lot of help. He needs help reconnecting with his dad. He needs help to get to a better place mentally regarding Nina (Cynthia Watros). Plus, he needs help to open up his eyes and see that there’s a little something, something flirty going on between Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison — who talks about Drew and Nina’s complicated romance here). Seriously, though, what kind of help does he want from his wife?
Finally, Nina comes up with a plan. Isn’t Nina always coming up with a plan? Isn’t she exhausted yet? No doubt that whatever this is about has to do with her daughter. Everything has to do with her daughter. Does she even know what just happened in Sonny’s world? Because he needs more people to talk to about the darkness, the tampered meds, and Kristina (Kate Mansi). It doesn’t have to just be Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright).
