Willow’s Rock Bottom May Never Happen
In Friday’s episode, Nina (Cynthia Watros) told her daughter she was in a tough position. If she didn’t get Valentin’s whereabouts from Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), he would release the footage that incriminated Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
If she didn’t get the intel before his other contact did — namely, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) — he would release the video that should have been released during Willow’s trial.
Nina’s between a rock and a hard place — it’s either Willow or Charlotte. Willow knows exactly who Nina should choose. The newly minted congresswoman claims that all the out-of-control things she is doing are so she can remain in her children’s lives. So what does she do on Monday that could be considered stooping to a new low?
How does one get lower than shooting Drew (Cameron Mathison) in the back twice, gaslighting Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), and purposely causing her husband’s locked-in status so she can get her revenge and be the one in full control?
Justine Rushes Straight to Sonny
Meanwhile, Justine (Nazneen Contractor) had an intense run-in with Sidwell (Carlo Rota). The corrupt businessman, of course, blamed Sonny (Maurice Benard, who interviewed Nathan Dean for his latest SOM podcast) for Marco’s death. And wondered if Jordan’s accident was actually not an accident. That someone — Sonny — was targeting him and his people.
The first thing the acting DA did after Sidwell got on the elevator was call the guy’s nemesis and tell him they had to meet. Look for Justine to tip Sonny off. Hopefully, Sonny will now realize that the conversation he had with Sidwell at Marco’s funeral did nothing to move the needle.
Ric Attempts to Have a Civil Conversation with Alexis
Sonny asked Ric (Rick Hearst) to do something he didn’t want to do. He asked his brother to talk to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and tell her that Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) approached him about working with him to get back at the WSB for what they’ve done to his dad.
Sonny didn’t want to be the one to do it because he and Alexis were in a good place, and he didn’t want to ruin that. Meanwhile, Ric and Alexis aren’t in a good place, but they are in a civil place.
And now he’ll be the one breaking the news to her about Danny’s latest move. Sonny even sealed the deal by playing the ‘you’re my brother’ card. It was a nice moment that Ric will have to think about while Alexis potentially goes off on him.
Gio Impresses While Brook Lynn is Alarmed
Gio (Giovanni Mazza) took a huge step in his healing journey when he got up on stage (twice) during the reopening of Charlie’s Pub. He impressed Emma (Braedyn Bruer) then. The two seemed closer than ever. He’s about to shock and awe Emma yet again. How does he make a good impression this time?
Finally, Gio’s mom, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), is alarmed. As well she should be. She had a good amount of wine when she got behind the wheel and drove to Charlie’s Pub to see Gio perform. We still don’t know who Jordan (Tanisha Harper) swerved to miss on Route 91 that night.
Brook Lynn is definitely a contender. When she got to Charlie’s Pub, she may have enjoyed watching her son perform, but she’s been acting off ever since.
