Soap veteran Greg Vaughan, who most recently exited Days of our Lives as Eric but is also a General Hospital (ex-Lucky) and The Young and the Restless (ex-Diego) alum, will be back on TV this weekend, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Greg Vaughan — A Valentine’s Day Movie

The actor took to social media to remind fans to watch his new Hallmark movie, Valentine’s Again, a romantic comedy he stars in opposite Nicky Whelan, best known as Pepper Steiger in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.

The movie is akin to Groundhog’s Day, with the character of Kat, played by Whelan, experiencing the romantic holiday day after day after day. The unlucky-in-love workaholic happens across Danny (Vaughan) and the two relive Valentine’s Day over and over with lots of challenges and fun along the way. Being this is Hallmark, it’s a good bet they eventually fall in love just in time for the calendar to turn to Feb. 15.

What’s unusual about this movie is that it’s not something Vaughan did after leaving DAYS. In fact, he filmed the movie way back in 2016, flying to Sofia, Bulgaria, and it was originally scheduled to air for Valentine’s Day 2017. He even posted about it on Instagram back then, announcing its wrap date on Dec. 17.

It’s never been revealed why the movie didn’t air or why it’s taken four years to finally make it to the schedule, but nonetheless, fans are sure to be pleased to see Vaughan back on their TV screens.

Back in Salem, Eric’s name still gets mentioned a lot, with Nicole often pining for her husband, though she’s obviously not enjoying this time apart. Eric tried to come home for Christmas and he’s supposedly trying to head to Salem again now for a visit, but since Vaughan isn’t scheduled to come back and there’s no word of a recast, it’s clear we won’t be seeing him in Salem anytime soon.

There’s also a place for Lucky on the canvas, should he choose to return to General Hospital. Could that happen? Never say never on soaps. In the meantime, Greg Vaughan also revealed that Queen Sugar, the OWN show he has appeared on, is going back into production. Could he appear on that? Stay tuned.
