Did ‘Sonny’ Just Drop A Hint That BRENDA Is Back on General Hospital (GH)?

Something seems a little fishy with General Hospital (GH) buddies and former co-stars Maurice Benard and Vanessa Marcil.

Perhaps they know something we don’t, or perhaps they’re just teasing, but when you combine Marcil’s social media hint about big news coming soon and Benard’s birthday wish to his former onscreen wife, the Soap Hub wheels start turning.

Last week, Marcil posted to Instagram that she has a BIG announcement coming in the next two weeks, but of course won’t even hint what it is. As expected, fans began speculating that she’s returning to GH, which could put quite a crimp in Sonny and Carly’s current bliss.

On Sunday, Benard added some fuel to this fire on Marcil’s birthday.

He tweeted a birthday wish to the actress, calling her Brenda and saying he’d see her soon. That got fans speculating (and wishing and hoping) even more, but dare we believe it’s true?

Marcil has teased coming announcements before, and it never seems to be about General Hospital. But, there’s a first time for everything and after Benard’s tweet, might this be GH’s time? We guess we’ll have to wait for Marcil’s announcement next week to find out.
