With his dad sick and losing his memories on a daily basis, is it time for General Hospital’s (GH) Sonny to re-examine his own life, his own choices, and the legacy he’ll be leaving behind for his own children?
Almost 7,000 viewers looked deep into their own souls for the answer:
Not Again, Please!
Sonny (Maurice Benard) examines his life every time something goes wrong and/or not according to plan. He did it after the Karen debacle. He did it when Lily and his unborn child died during Click/Boom.
He did it when he had his breakdown, and when he shot Carly (now Laura Wright, then Tamra Braun, who is now Kim – got that?) while she was delivering Morgan, and when Michael (Chad Duell) was in a coma because of him.
He also did it Jason (Steve Burton) died, and when Morgan (Bryan Craig) died. Yeah, he’s re-examined his life a lot.
And for 54% of you, enough is enough. Sonny is always soul-searching, always re-examining his life, always coming to grand epiphanies (not the nurse)… then not changing a darn thing. And you’re not up for another go-around.
Better Late Than Never
Sure, Sonny examined his life after the Karen debacle, and when Lily and his unborn child died during Click/Boom, and when he had his breakdown, and when he shot Carly while she was delivering Morgan, and when Michael was in a coma because of him.
And, when Jason died, and when Morgan died…You get it. But 45% of the audience is convinced that THIS time it will stick.
Sonny will realize how his criminal activities affect the people he loves, he will repent, retire, and reform. He will, however, likely still hold onto his ill-gotten money because, you know, Carly has expensive tastes….
