Soap Tributes To Disney Channel And General Hospital Night Shift Star Cameron Boyce

Cameron Boyce fans woke up Sunday to the news that the young Disney star had died the day before from what looks to have been a seizure as he slept. Two fans happened to be soap stars who remember him for very different reasons. Let’s not forget he also played Stone Cates Jr. on General Hospital: Night Shift.

Actress Kimberly McCullough (Robin) remembers him fondly from those days and tweeted her sadness over Boyce’s death.

“Had the pleasure of working with him on Night Shift where he played “Stone Jr.” Broke out some crazy legs one-day on set.”

Boyce landed the soap spin-off role back in 2008 before he became a Disney Channel pre-teen and teen sensation.

Michelle Stafford, who recently left GH, remembers the actor because her, daughter, Natalia, is a huge fan. Stafford posted a video that the handsome young actor had made for her daughter at a Disney event where they met.

While Boyce maybe been only 20 years old, he already had an impressive list of credits, including roles in the TV series Jessie, several projects in the Descendants universe, appearances on shows like Code Black, Austin & Ally, and Liv and Maddie as well as the films Grown Ups and its sequel, Grown Ups 2.

Stafford, who recently left General Hospital as Nina to return to the role of Phyllis on The Young and the Restless, which she created, wrote of Boyce, “NO ONE and NOTHING is way cooler than you, you beautiful, sweet, Talented shining star. Anyone who has young children has probably watched this man 1 million times!

“And see just how talented he is. What an honor to have met this young, charismatic man who joyfully sent this message to my daughter who is IN LOVE with him. I want to send out my love and prayers to Cameron’s family. This is a GREAT loss for all of us. God Speed. You will ALWAYS shine bright.”
