On General Hospital, Chloe Lanier and Brytni Sarpy were on opposite sides of the law as Nelle (who tends to kill her mates) and Valerie (who is a cop), but the two off-screen pals are teaming up for a wonderful cause and they need your help to be successful.
While Sarpy has gone on to The Young and the Restless to play Elena, the two pals continue to do projects together, like Lanier’s new film The Reveal. Lanier has also taken to social media to let followers know about their newest project — and who they are trying to help.
“On behalf of our loved ones with autism,” writes Lanier, “@brytni and I have teamed up to raise funds and awareness for the fantastic organization that is @nextforautism for their #nextercise challenge!” The two stars have created this page where you can either support them or join their team to help them raise money.
“If you’re able, we are collecting donations to reach and hopefully surpass our goal of $2,500 via our Chlo-e-la-Bryt #nextforautism team page now through August 15th,” which is when the virtual race takes place. In the age of COVID-19, many organizations have had to switch to virtual events in order to reach their fundraising goals while keeping people safe. For Lanier, this is personal.
“As a former respite caregiver for children with autism, this is an organization very close to my heart. NEXT for AUTISM is committed to meeting the services needed by the 1 in 54 children and 5 million adults with autism in the United States,” she shared.
“And THIS SATURDAY, August 15th, after donating, you can virtually join us by running, walking, swimming, or spinning a 5K to benefit individuals and families with autism. Make sure to use the #nextercise hashtag!” It’s a wonderful cause and a great way to help others during these trying times.
