Soap Star News: Actresses Offer Support For Those Affected By Eating Disorders

A couple of soap stars are teaming up to bring attention to those who suffer from eating disorders — and they have a great way that you show others that you support them.

The name of the charity is Breaking The Chains Foundation, and General Hospital star Carolyn Hennesy (Diane) is a Board Member/Celebrity Ambassador for the organization. “Eating disorders are, to be blunt, like fingerprints: each one is unique because each individual who suffers is a one-of-a-kind,” Hennesy says of charity’s latest campaign. “There are millions afflicted and no two alike.”

In a description about their latest effort — a gorgeous T-shirt modeled above by Courtney Hope (now on The Young and the Restless; ex-Sally, The Bold and the Beautiful), Hennesy adds, “Dancing (as they’re doing here) singing, writing…art in all of its forms plays an enormous role in the healing process but perhaps nothing will be more effective at destroying these disorders than the simple act of talking with one another and to the world at large.”
