It’s been a while since we heard from longtime soap opera star Tyler Christopher, who has been apparently laying low since an incident last fall when he was arrested for public intoxication.
Many soap stars reached out to the actor during the time of his arrest, but he chose to stay quiet, and hopefully, that is what he needed. Now, as the world endures and adapts to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, Christopher has chosen to speak out from where he’s been staying home.
And he has been truly been staying at a place that must feel like home more than any other, his childhood home.
“The ONE place I don’t have to give a damn about social distance from Corona or work. My mother’s burial site and the home I grew up in the background. And yes…I grew up in a cemetery. #coronavirus #jimiannbaker #heal,” the actor posted next to a photo of himself by his mother’s headstone. Christopher’s mom passed away in 2016.
Christopher was last seen on daytime on Days of Our Lives as Stefan O. DiMera, but he is best known for playing Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, a role he portrayed off and on for more than two decades. In 2016, he won an Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series Emmy for his work as Nikolas and left the soap just months later. The role was recently recast in late 2019.
Soap Hub wishes the actor continued safety and health as he quarantines with the rest of the world during this global pandemic.
