Snooze And Lose? Are General Hospital Fans Bored By Oscar and Joss?

Summer on soaps is supposed to be all about young love. General Hospital (GH) used to know this better than anyone.

Think Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis). Think Frisco (Jack Wagner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner). Think Jason (Steve Burton) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough). Sure, none of those relationships ultimately worked out, but that’s not the point. They were fun while they lasted.

This summer, young love on GH is being represented by Joss (Eden McCoy) and Oscar (Garren Stitt). Are you feeling the heat? Here’s what over 16,000 viewers said.

Nap Time
Kids take lots of naps, and it’s what 60% of viewers are doing through a majority of Oscar and Joss’s scenes. The kids aren’t all right – they’re deadly boring.

Joss is either worrying about her mom, or mouthing off to Julian (William DeVry), or, even worse, mocking Oscar for not wanting to have sex with her. You’re not showing a particularly attractive side of yourself, Joss. Who can blame Oscar for turning you down?

Now, you’re not suggesting these two go on the run to bring down the mob, or look for Aztec treasure, or protect truth, justice, and the American way.

What child of Carly (Laura Wright) and her beloved stepfather, Sonny (Maurice Benard), would do something so ridiculous? But, nonetheless, it would be nice if they did something… interesting. For a change.

Sweetness and Light
On the other hand, 40% of you still find them adorable. It’s puppy love of the highest order, and that’s not supposed to set off sparks or trigger summer adventure stories. It’s supposed to be innocent and sweet, and remind viewers of their own first loves.

The ones you expected to be with forever, but now have a hard time even friending on Facebook – mostly because you’re having trouble recalling their full names.
