Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind: Did Sonny Seem To Abandon Carly on General Hospital (GH)?

Carly is back in Ferncliff on General Hospital (GH). In retrospect, it’s amazing that so much time has passed between stints.

This time around, it’s because Nelle (Chloe Lanier) accused Carly (Laura Wright) of shoving her down the stairs.

Carly plead crazy and was sentenced to a mental institution, where a nurse who has obviously seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest too many times (or simply is inspired by Louise Fletcher’s Oscar-winning performance as Nurse Ratched) has made tormenting Carly her prime objective in life.

Jason (Steve Burton) got a job as a janitor at the hospital in order to keep an eye on his BFF, but got fired. and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) also seems to be on her side – though he is acting a little unlike himself these days.

But why did the love of Carly’s life seem so not concerned for weeks? Where’s Sonny (Maurice Benard)? Should he be paying more attention to his wife’s situation? Here’s how almost 8,000 fans feel:

Look On the Sunny Side
Damn right, a land-slide 97% of you are roaring from in front of TV sets all across North America. You realize Sonny is busy, what with Mike (Max Gail) rambling about that body Sonny buried, which Mike reburied, plus his regular, heavy schedule of mumbling and self-righteousness.

But how about sparing a few minutes for your terrified wife, and getting Diane (Carolyn Hennessey) on the case of getting her out of there? At the very least, you can grease a few palms to get her better treatment. What’s the point of being a connected mobster if you can’t pull strings at will?

Everything’s Alright
Nah, Carly made her bed, she can lie in it, 2% dismiss. Sonny is an important man with important problems. He hasn’t impregnated a groupie in years, not since Ava (Maura West). And that new lawyer in town looks just like his type…
