General Hospital’s (GH) Jason already did a 180 on his life and identity once, back in December of 1995, when a car accident at the hands of his brother, AJ, turned earnest aspiring medical student Jason Quartermaine into monosyllabic, leather-jacket wearing, mob enforcer Jason Morgan.
In 2012, it was that Jason (Steve Burton) who was presumed dead. An impostor (accidentally) assumed Jason’s life until 2017, when it turned out that he was Drew (Billy Miller), Jason’s heretofore unknown twin brother.
Drew got Jason’s wife, Sam (Kelly Monaco), but Jason got every other part of his persona back. He returned to serving Sonny (Maurice Benard), being worshiped by Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), and being yelled at (because she loves him so, so much) by Carly (Laura Wright).
Jason got a second chance at life. Should he really be wasting it like this, or should he take advantage of the opportunity to make some changes?

I Think I Better Think It Out Again
The fact that your wife and kids preferred the copy over the real McCoy should be a wake-up call for Jason, lecture 85% of you. Sam liked the Jason who put her and their family first, who took a safe desk job, instead of crashing through endless ceilings, guns blazing — and who didn’t live under perennial risk of arrest.
Oh, and your own mother, Monica (Leslie Charleson), liked him better, too. When the only people who love you just the way you are consist of Sonny and Carly… maybe some reassessment is in order?
Don’t Ever Change
Sam just doesn’t get it, counter 14% of the audience. Jason is perfect, and he shouldn’t go changing, just to please her — or anyone. The man lost five years of his life. He should be relishing it, not making needless changes!
