Suddenly ‘Sava’: Should Scott and Ava Get Together Already on General Hospital?

It would be a melding of old and new on General Hospital. Scott (Kin Shriner) has been wreaking havoc in Port Charles since he returned so dramatically for Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) wedding.

(Before that, Scott was the good guy in this triangle, the loyal husband who stood by Laura when she killed an older guy she was infatuated with. You’d think between him and the guy who raped her, Laura’s choice would have been easy. But things were different in the 1980s.)

Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) is relatively new to the canvas, but she’s already tangled with Sonny (Maurice Benard), the noble mobster – and lost. Things are different in the 21st Century.

So they’re both bad. Should they be bad together? What over 17,000 viewers would like to see:

Let’s do it, 65% of you cheer. This is going to be terrific! West and Shriner had chemistry when they worked together on As the World Turns, and it’s even better now.

Scott and Ava were made for each other. They have the potential to get each other – and have each other’s backs – like few other couples. Plus, together, they can strike back at all the Port Charles hypocrites who rake them over the coals. It would be a match made in hell!

Too Much Of a Good Thing
For 35% of the audience, though, this is a bad idea. Scott and Ava are both forces of nature on their own. Why dilute that power by combining it?

Separately, Ava and Scott can harass a lot more people. Plus, they’d just egg each other on to greater and greater heights of evil. They wouldn’t be good for each other, and any shot at redemption for either would be gone.
