Sam Shot Sonny On General Hospital (GH)! But Will She Ever Get Over It?!

Sonny confirmed Sam’s worst fears when he told her that she was the one who shot him and left him in a pit to die on General Hospital (GH).

Sam (Kelly Monaco) realizes her actions were the direct result of toxoplasmosis, an illness that caused vivid hallucinations of Sonny threatening her and her family.

Yet, it hasn’t made it any easier for her to accept. She loves Sonny and is beside herself at the thought that she tried to kill him.

Soap Hub asked fans if you think Sam will easily get over what she did to Sonny. Some 7,000 of you responded.

No, It Was Horrible
What Sam did, whether she was in her right mind or not, was pretty horrible. Sonny could have died.

As a result, 88% of you think this is going to eat at her for a long time. Sam may not ever get over this, and once Carly (Laura Wright) finds out what she did, it will only make the whole thing worse.

Yes, Sonny Forgave Her
The remaining 12% of you believe Sam will be able to move on from this, shortly, with help from Jason (Billy Miller).

Number one, she was not herself when she shot Sonny. Her illness was playing heavy mind games on her.

Number two, Sonny (Maurice Benard) has already forgiven Sam for what transpired. If he can totally forgive her, she should be able to forgive herself.
