We’ve said some very sad goodbyes on General Hospital this year.
It’s not easy to lose your favorite character or maybe half of a couple you really enjoyed, and when it’s an explosive exit – it can be even harder. Soap Hub asked you to choose the saddest exit on GH in 2016 and you made your answer pretty clear.
Nursing Your Wounds
It was a very painful goodbye when the General Hospital serial killer took the life of the sweetest nurse on staff At least that’s how 62% of you felt about the death of Sabrina (Teresa Castillo).
It was amazing enough that she managed to save Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) life, but in the cruelest twist of fate – she paid with her own life, cutting short her very promising romance with Michael (Chad Duell).
Her death also left Teddy an orphan, and Michael all alone when Teddy left town with his uncle. That was a double blow and not one you’ll recover from easily.
It Was A Blast
Perhaps the fact that most of you knew that actor Bryan Craig was leaving the role of Morgan Corinthos one way or another is the reason only 26% felt his exit was the saddest.
Watching him wave to Jason (Billy Miller) as he got out of the car, setting off the blast that presumably killed him, was heartbreaking enough but then to watch as his friends and family had to endure the heartache of learning about his supposed death was just too much for you to bear.
Still, a body was never found (unlike Sabrina), so you can still maintain a shred of hope that one day he will return to Port Charles.

Honorable Mentions
Still 2% chose other exits from Port Charles as the saddest — like Paul (Richard Burgi). What happened to his daughter was heart breaking and you felt for the broken man who couldn’t do anything to save her.
Still, others chose Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Emma’s (Brooklyn Rae Sizer) exit as the one that upset you the most. After all, that Emma is way too cute and you watched Robin grow up before your eyes. Luckily, the holidays are bringing them back for a short visit!
