Write In! Should There Be ANOTHER Mayoral Election on General Hospital?

Tis the season to cast ballots, fa la la la la la la la la – not just all over the U.S. but on General Hospital, too. Port Charles appears to love mayoral elections so much, they just have them whenever they darn well please.

Now that Laura (Genie Francis) is back, should they have another one? Over 6,000 voters couldn’t wait until November 6 to make their voices heard!

The People’s Candidate
Yes, 68% cheer! When the candidate we prefer doesn’t win, we insist on holding another election immediately, and to keep holding them until we get our way! Laura would make an ideal mayor of Port Charles.

After all, her ex-husband, Luke (Anthony Geary) already was mayor in the early 1980s. And he ruled benevolently for minutes until he decided he’d rather travel the world with his previously-presumed-dead wife.

Sure, Laura might have a few skeletons in her closet. But, she can take a page from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who whined during her campaign that mentioning – truthfully – how she’d had daughters with three different mobsters, and been married to two of them, not to mention her past alcoholism, was fighting dirty,

Laura can do the same whenever anyone points out that she spent multiple years catatonic, killed several people, and probably has a lingering case of PTSD from her time being held hostage on Cassadine Island. How dare you bring that up?

Enough with the politicking, 31% counter. If you wanted election stumping you’d watch the ads overrunning the soaps at this time of the year, not the soaps themselves.

Frankly, you’ve gone this long without finding out what Sonny (Maurice Benard) and/or Maxie (Kirsten Storms) think about equity in public school funding and overtime for public union employees, and you can continue not knowing for the rest of your life. Vote no on more voting!
