The General Hospital recap features Willow Tait going towards the light but then changing her mind at the last minute.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
In this episode, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had to make a life-or-death decision as Michael and Nina prayed for her, and her new daughter smiled away at just an hour old. Trina tried to get Spencer to do the right thing while Nikolas continued to do the wrong thing by Esme. Elizabeth was also stunned to hear what Nik has been up to. And finally, Stella softened towards Portia after Portia gave her a gift. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Willow Tait Finally Chooses To Live
For a while now, it’s felt like Willow wanted to die by the way she refused to fight her cancer and give birth before her due date when clearly, her baby is big and healthy as can be. As Harmony (Inga Cadranel) kept calling her Callie, Willow insisted that she was Willow, but Harmony offered her peace, at least if she just took her hand and walked towards the light. Willow did take her hand, but during her walk, something called her back.

Down on Earth, Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Michael (Chad Duell) prayed for Willow, both asking her to live so she can be with her children. Somehow, Willow heard that because the next thing we knew, Austin (Roger Howarth) was telling Michael and Nina that Willow was in recovery. She still has a ways to go, but there’s a good chance that her happy little baby was born with stem cells that can save her mother’s life.
GH Recap: Esme Is More Confused Than Ever
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) had a hard time swallowing the fact that she slept with her boyfriend’s father and is now going to have his child. Nikolas (Adam Huss) promised her that they had a connection once and that she can trust him, but Esme wasn’t so sure.
The young pregnant amnesiac was further put off when Nikolas handed her papers that would sign all rights to her baby over to him, at least until she was free, or so Nikolas said. Esme told him she had to think about whether to sign them, and once alone, she just couldn’t do it.
At the hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) also got a shocker when Carolyn (Denise Crosby) told her all about accompanying Nikolas to Spring Ridge and seeing he wanted to erase the memories of a pregnant girl. Carolyn said she would not do the same thing to Esme that she did to Elizabeth and warned her that Nikolas is not a friend at all. She then left town while making sure to call her daughter Elizabeth and not Lizzie. Later, Nikolas showed up at GH and met Elizabeth’s glare.
General Hospital Recap: Spencer’s Dilemmas
Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) seemed positively gleeful as he watched the recording of Nikolas’s confession to trying to kill Esme. However, Trina (Tabyan Ali) was surprised when he said he would not go to the police, but instead, he would use the video as leverage to get Nikolas to sign rights to the baby over to him — not that Nik yet has rights to this child.
Trina called Spencer out on not wanting to go to the police because he still cared about his father, but Spencer denied it. However, as Jordan (Tanisha Harper) appeared in the hospital chapel, Trina made a point of leaving them alone while saying Spencer has something he might want to tell the commissioner.
GH Recap: Stella Henry Softens
At the bridal shop, Portia (Brook Kerr) went on and on about how happy she is to be marrying into the Ashford family so she and Trina can gain all these new relatives. Portia then gave Stella (Vernee Watson) a silver heirloom bracelet to wear to the wedding and had a hard time getting Stella to accept it. When she finally did, it was easy to see she had softened towards Portia and had no idea what to do with her new discovery that Curtis is Trina’s real dad.
