General Hospital Spoilers Weekly Update: Goodbye John, Hello Holly

Episode 15542 AIR DATE: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2024
Ric (Rick Hearst) showed up at GH with flowers for Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), hoping to reconnect and go to dinner, but she turned him down. Kristina (Kate Mansi) went to her baby’s gravesite and broke down, apologizing for what happened and wishing she wasn’t gone. Later, she went back to her mom’s house where Sam (Kelly Monaco) confided in her sister about having been where she is before. When Kristina went to bed and Sam left, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) accidentally found the gun Kristina stole from Sonny (Maurice Benard). Meanwhile, Michael (Chad Duell) caught his father having murdered John (Adam Harrington) and helped his dad cover his tracks by sending Sonny to get an alibi in Carly (Laura Wright) and calling in the murder to Chase (Josh Swickard). Sonny made it look like he’d slept with Carly as his alibi, but Tracy (Jane Elliot) immediately accused him of killing John when the news got out. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) kissed again, then finally went to the mansion where they found Michael with John’s dead body before Chase and Anna (Finola Hughes) did some investigating. Jason (Steve Burton) found Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) unconscious on the side of the road and eventually stumbled upon Agent Boyle (Amor Owens) holding Ava (Maura West) at gunpoint. When he pulled out his gun, the two got the upper hand and Ava vowed she was done being used as she held the gun to Boyle.

Episode 15543 AIR DATE: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2024
Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) played poker for his life while his captor gushed over a woman in his life. Lucky thought back to his relationship with Elizabeth, and later, was shocked to learn Holly (Emma Samms, who returned to GH) was the woman his captor was talking about. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) met with Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to get his help finding information on GH’s John Doe. Drew admitted to Curtis (Donnell Turner) that he’d kissed Willow again. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) went to the PCPD to represent her client, Jason, who insisted she represent Ava as well. Ava amended her statement, dropping that charge against Kristina. Kristina realized her gun was missing and called Michael (Chad Duell) for help, while Willow dreamed about being in bed with Drew. Back at Sonny’s penthouse, Carly and Sonny strategized about making the alibi believable. Later, Sonny opened his safe and realized he was missing a gun. Alexis went to the bridge and tossed the gun in the river as Elizabeth and Ric approached, having seen the whole thing. Alexis came up with an excuse, but the two later agreed they saw the gun.

Episode 15544 AIR DATE: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2024
Dante went searching the scene of John Doe’s hit-and-run and found Isaiah’s phone. Sonny and Carly told Diane their alibi story and she insisted it would be more believable if they pretended to be having an affair. Sonny later called Jason, in need of help after discovering he was missing a gun. Diane told Alexis about Ava’s amended statement and Alexis later asked Kristina if she’d shot John, to which she said she hadn’t but was glad he was dead. Nina attempted to get Ric to represent Ava, but he declined due to her being the reason his granddaughter died. Ric later bonded with TJ over the loss, then told Elizabeth they needed to come forward about what they saw Alexis do on the bridge. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) heard the rest of the Q’s talking about Sonny and Carly’s hookup and went to tell Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy), who went to Sonny’s penthouse to confront her mother about it. A dialect coach hired by Tracy (Jane Elliot), named Robin (Sarah Sherman, who made her GH debut), showed up at the Quartermaine’s to coach Lois (Rena Sofer).

Episode 15545 AIR DATE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2024
Chase (Josh Swickard) congratulated Dex (Evan Hofer) on graduating from the police academy. When Jason arrived at Sonny’s penthouse, Sonny gave him the murder weapon to dispose of. Before Jason could leave, Anna showed up with Dex and another officer to search the penthouse and check Sonny’s weapons. Dex smugly told them he knew where Sonny’s gun safe was and Sonny opened it to reveal he was missing a gun. Lois worked with her dialect coach and completely got rid of her accent and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) was furious. Josslyn tore into Carly for sleeping with Sonny, then realized she did it as an alibi. Ric convinced Elizabeth to come forward about what they saw Alexis do, so they gave their statements to Chase, then Ric told Chase how Alexis has killed before and he’d hate for her to lose her law license again.
