The General Hospital recap for September 30-October 4, 2024 covers a week of major returns, rocky relationships, and one goodbye.
Despite two days of preemptions, Port Charles saw the returns of several familiar (and a little unfamiliar) faces as everyone prepared for Lulu’s transplant.
READ THIS: Here’s what’s coming up on GH.
When Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) got to Port Charles, his first stop was GH, where he met Portia (Brook Kerr) and Terry (Cassandra James). He got tested to be Lulu’s match before visiting his sister, and later admitted to Jason (Steve Burton) how strange it felt to be back. Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) informed Aiden (Colin Cassidy, who made his GH debut) about his father’s return, who clearly had issues regarding his father. Elizabeth confided in Terry about her feelings about the return, and later, came face-to-face with Lucky when he walked into Bobbie’s as Portia got his test results that revealed he’s a match.
Elsewhere, Brennan (Charles Mesure) informed Robert (Tristan Rogers) of Holly’s (Emma Samms) return, while she visited Mac (John J. York), who told her to stay away from his brother. Anna
(Finola Hughes) told Felicia (Kristina Wagner) everything that happened in Somalia while Jason gave Carly (Laura Wright) the rundown, but neither of them mentioned their kiss.

Ava’s (Maura West) gallery was busy with visitors when Trina (Tabyana Ali) told her she was going back to school, then later Ric (Rick Hearst) stopped by to discuss her case, during which he got Heather’s (Alley Mills) new test results that proved to be different from GH’s.
At GH, Portia finally ran into Brad (Parry Shen) while Sam (Kelly Monaco, who recently promised a proper statement regarding her exit) ran into Jason and the two wound up on good terms.
After Curtis found out his father got a gig touring, Marshall (Robert Gossett) told him he turned it down, but Curtis gave him the push he needed to take on the new endeavor.
Lucky approached Elizabeth at Bobbie’s and their encounter was a mixture of cute LL2 moments and serious talk about their son. Elizabeth joined him at the hospital for his final test, and he assured her he had a good feeling about things.
Lucas (Van Hansis, who made his GH debut) returned to Port Charles with plans of having a fresh start in Port Charles. He first reunited with Carly before heading to GH, where he learned his ex was back working. He found Brad (Parry Shen) in a lab room and told him he wants nothing to do with him.
Meanwhile, when Ric wondered if someone tampered with Heather’s test results, Ava realized it had to be Portia and later let her know that Ric was on to her.
As for Port Charles youngins, Violet (Jophielle Love) got sent home from school for hitting a boy who insulted her dad, while Trina and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) wound up at odds over Ava and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had to intervene.
Lucky continued reuniting with old friends and stopped by Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) office, where the two discussed fatherhood. Lucky later shared his worries about his and Lulu’s upcoming surgeries with Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson).
