The General Hospital recap features Trina Robinson making up her mind about her paternity situation.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
In this episode, Trina made a DNA test decision as Portia had some words with Jordan. Ava and Austin prepared for the worst as the cops descended on Spoon Island. Also, Willow continued to waste away and didn’t even want Nina’s gift. Nina spent time fretting about her daughter at the hospital, but Liesl had some good news. It was Scott who delivered surprising news that changed Liesl’s tune immediately. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Trina Robinson Knows Who Her Father Is
Trina (Tabyana Ali) was sweet and cordial to Curtis (Donnell Turner) when he stopped by her dorm room but she insisted she didn’t want to talk about her mother at all. Curtis told Trina all about how his own dad helped him the night before when all he wanted to do was drink and then asked Trina where they go from there. He told her how he saw the torture she went through during the last year, but he is there for her no matter what, even if she resented him.

Trina insisted she didn’t resent him at all, so Curtis then told her they need to know the truth. Curtis tried to explain that not getting to know his father made it feel like a piece of him was missing, but Trina said the comparisons didn’t work because she grew up with a father who was there. However, she wondered if she will one day need to know due to a medical emergency. Surprisingly, Curtis said he would leave it up to Trina what she wanted to do. In the end, she decided Taggert (Réal Andrews) is her dad and no DNA test was necessary.
Meanwhile, Portia (Brook Kerr) insisted that she and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) talk when they ran into one another at GH. Jordan was stunned when Portia actually told her she was right all along. She needed to tell Curtis the truth before the wedding and not just hope that her secret would never come to light. The two women finally made amends as Jordan told Portia not to lose hope.
GH Recap: More Spoon Island Chaos
Ava (Maura West) and Austin (Roger Howarth) arrived back at Wyndemere and all Austin could think about was his life flashing before his eyes as he got hooked by Heather (Alley Mills) the night before. Ava didn’t even want to think about it because they had a task at hand and that was moving Nikolas’s body before the police arrived. Austin suggested that Ava could just skip town to avoid trouble, but she knew Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) would just track her down. Besides, there was no way she could leave Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) behind.
All that talking caused Ava and Austin to waste what precious time they had as Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the Port Charles Police Department showed up with a warrant. Dante explained that Nikolas (Adam Huss) had held Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) there for months. Ava feigned surprise but nearly gave the game away when she mentioned her ex keeping a pregnant teen in a tower. Dante had not mentioned the north tower, so Ava said she just assumed since Nikolas had mysteriously told her it was off-limits.
Soon, Dante was called to the tack room as Ava panicked. When Dante later called Ava down to the tack room, she claimed that she never went in that little closet and assumed it was just a storage space. She didn’t even have a key but never fear — Dante had a crowbar and was ready to break right in as a nervous Ava and Austin looked on.
General Hospital Recap: Willow’s Wedding, Liesl’s Fury
Weeping Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) prepared for her wedding and her last days on Earth but was still miffed when Wiley brought her the half-heart necklace from Nina (Cynthia Watros). As soon as Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) arrived to help plan the wedding, Willow told her friend to just get rid of it because she didn’t want to spend the time she had left thinking about Nina. Sasha could have told her how Nina forgave her for pretending to be her daughter, but instead, she appeased Willow and said she understood that just because she is close to Nina, it didn’t mean other people had to like her.
When Willow went to check on Amelia, Michael (Chad Duell) lamented that he could never have what he truly wanted, but what Willow wants is for him to dance with her at their wedding. So, Sasha told Michael to take some dance lessons and make this dying woman happy.
At the hospital, Nina was thrilled when Liesl (Kathleen Gati) told her she had already been swabbed to see if she was a match for Willow, and is now just waiting for the blood test results. There might be a way to save Willow after all.
Soon Scott (Kin Shriner) arrived and Liesl wanted to know what legal troubles he was taking care of for Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Scott tried to hedge and be vague, but Liesl was insistent. Knowing the truth would come out eventually, Scott finally gave in and told Liesl that Elizabeth helped Nikolas keep Esme captive at Wyndemere, and they eventually knew she wasn’t The Hook.
Liesl had already vowed revenge on whoever helped keep Esme hidden when the cops could have been looking for the real killer. After learning Elizabeth had a hand in this, Liesl angrily confronted her.
