In the August 20 episode of General Hospital, Lulu was on the warpath over Charlotte, and Valentin quickly called out her real issue. Valentin pointed out a glaring issue with Lulu and her obsession with controlling her children, especially her daughter.

Key Takeaways

  • Lulu doesn’t like how Valentin parent’s Charlotte.
  • Valentin brought up Lulu’s lack of a personal life.
  • The hard truth was something Lulu balked at, but he wasn’t wrong.

Lulu Comes In Hot at Valentin

Lulu (Alexa Havins) may have allowed Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to move in with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), but that doesn’t mean she trusts him or her daughter. After tracking Charlotte on her phone, Lulu arrived at Carly’s (Laura Wright) in a fit of anger at Valentin over his parenting.

It turned out Charlotte was on a boat with Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), headed to an island at night. Lulu was furious at Valentin for allowing Charlotte to do somehting so dangerous and insisted he text their daughter to come home.

In true Valentin fashion, he didn’t listen to Lulu’s orders. What he did instead was calmly call out Lulu for being obsessed and controlling of Charlotte.

Valentin Tells It Like It Is to Lulu

Valentin let Lulu rage, even at Carl,y as she brought up Josslyn (Eden McCoy) being in the WSB. However, once he found his moment, Valentin gave Lulu a reality check with a simple question.

“Are you dating?” he asked. Lulu, of course, got offended and was a bit confused until Valentin explained.

Valentin casually revealed that if Lulu had a personal life, she wouldn’t be so controlling. Basically, he told her to get a life, and he isn’t wrong.

Lulu Should Listen to Valentin

Since she came out of a coma, Lulu has had no personal life other than a brief fling with Cassius (Ryan Peavey), who she thought was Nathan. Lulu has been all in on her kids as a mother should.

However, with nothing else to focus on other than her job, Lulu has been smothering her kids. Granted, Rocco (Finn Carr) and Charlotte have put her through the wringer, but she isn’t doing them or herself any favors by being so overprotective.

The more that Lulu pushes the control narrative with her kids, the more she will push them away. Charlotte didn’t just want to live with Valentin because he’s her father. She wanted to get a break from her mother.

It was nice to see Valentin be calm, cool, and collected as he got brutally honest with Lulu. The question is will she listen before it’s too late?
