The General Hospital recap features Heather and Ryan doing what they had to in order to take Esme Prince on the run.
In this episode, Esme is shocked by Ryan and Heather’s latest moves as Sam and Dante think they tracked down her old nanny in England. At the wedding, Drew remained the happier-than-ever master of ceremonies as Nina and Ava caught up on gossip and Sonny and Laura caught up on Nikolas news. Finally, Trina asked Stella why she refused to attend Portia and Curtis’s wedding, only to be given a vague answer that left her wanting the truth from her mother. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Heather (Alley Mills) told Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) that it was now or never with their breakout plans, insisting that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) would definitely come with them. Heather wasn’t happy about the idea of making a stop along the way to get Ava, but Ryan didn’t like that Heather involved Mac (John J. York), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) in her plans to stay at Spring Ridge rather than return to D’Archam.

Heather then taunted Ryan about his fake locked-in status, telling him she did all the work seeking revenge for Esme and calling him a practical vegetable. To prove he still has it, he pushed her against the wall and then held her homemade knife to her neck. Heather was thrilled that the real Ryan was back. She also left some gum in his door lock so he could easily get out.
A confused Esme later lamented her worries about her baby to Heather, who promised to take her to her room via a shortcut. That’s when they ran into a guard who questioned them. Before he could call for backup, Ryan came up behind the guard and stabbed him. He then asked a terrified Esme if she is ready for a road trip.
In England, Sam (Kelly Monaco) was more interested in finding Maggie (Heather Olt) than she was in romance with Dante. When Dante went out for a bit, Sam questioned the innkeeper about a woman named Maggie who was a nanny, and she mentioned the barmaid was named Margaret and used to be a nanny in America.
Dante soon showed up at the pub to confront Maggie The Nanny And Barmaid, and found her with a suitcase ready to make a great escape.
Stella (Vernee Watson) was surprised when Trina (Tabyana Ali) showed up at her hotel room, but Trina was even more surprised when she saw that Stella wasn’t sick at all. She asked what could have kept her from Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia’s (Brook Kerr) wedding, so Stella gave her a cryptic speech on family and secrets and said at her age, all she wants to do is keep the peace. This further confused Trina, so Stella then told her all about how she already almost ruined her relationship by not telling the truth about Marshall (Robert Gossett) and didn’t want to upset Curtis again.
Trina wondered if Curtis was keeping a secret from her mother, but Stella told her it was Portia keeping something from Curtis, but it was not her place to say what it was. Trina soon rejoined the wedding festivities as the bouquet landed by her feet, and she gave her mother a glare to let her know that something was up.
Upstairs at the wedding, Portia worried about Trina’s whereabouts until an absent-minded Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told her that Trina and Spencer needed to get some air. When Trina wasn’t there to give a toast, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) gave one instead and then wondered if this was her last night of freedom.
Nina (Cynthia Watros) informed Ava (Maura West) that Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) were seeing each other, but clearly didn’t want anyone to know. Ava even tried to defend Carly and say she probably has her reasons. Talk then turned to Ava’s divorce, and Ava told her friend she wished Nikolas (Adam Huss) would never have returned to Port Charles.
At another table, Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) discussed Nikolas and how much he has hurt Spencer, and Laura worried for her son. Finally, there were smiles on everyone’s faces as Marshall got the guts to play his clarinet.
