The General Hospital recap features Nina Reeves filling Ava in on some mysterious dirt.
In this episode, Nina and Ava caught up over a meal and gossiped as BFFs tend to do. Carly and Drew cleaned up the kitchen after Drew made a mess of things the night before while Dex gave Josslyn some grilled cheese cause she was as busy as her mom. Later, Sonny took Dex down to his warehouse and all hell broke loose. Sasha confronted Gladys about selling the garage without her permission as Cody and Mac spent some time bonding. Now, let’s a little dig a little deeper into the details.
As Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) caught up over a meal at the Metro Court, we learned that Ava is freaked out about staying at Wyndemere. So she is back at Nina’s apartment, but Ava didn’t want to talk about her problems. Instead, she wanted to know all about Nina so Nina spilled.
She knows that Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) are sneaking around but are romantically involved. She also knows that she heard Sonny talking to Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) about Carly and Drew possibly being in trouble with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The two women put their heads together to figure out what the heck was going on and when Nina mentioned she only owned the hotel because Carly lost so much money investing in Aurora, a bell went off for Ava.
If Carly invested in Aurora because she knew a big merger was going to happen, then clearly Carly and Drew were involved with insider trading and they can go to prison. Ava asked Nina what she will do with this information now that she had it and Nina was not quite sure yet.
Meanwhile, Drew did as he said and made Ned (Wally Kurth) an offer. He will get Charlotte’s (Amelie MacLaine) shares of ELQ and transfer them back into the family and quit the business altogether. That way Ned can have ELQ back the way he wants it and the family can be at peace. Drew thought this would get Ned not to report to the SEC.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) warned Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) that Sasha had better be on board with her selling Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) garage to Selina (Lydia Look) and Gladys insisted she was. At the same time, Cody (Josh Kelly) informed Sasha that she overheard Gladys talking about the sale so Sasha took off to the Metro Court to confront her.
Gladys had to admit that she did sell it but gave a furious Sasha a sob story about getting bills in Brando’s name each month that she had to pay as Sasha’s guardian. She said it was too painful for her so she had to get rid of the business. Sasha bought it all hook, line, and sinker and admitted it was time to move on. She also thanked a relieved Gladys for taking care of her.

After he and Joss (Eden McCoy) spent some romantic morning time with grilled cheese, Dex (Evan Hofer) met up with Sonny. Sonny said he was shutting him out of the Pikeman deal so that if things went wrong, Dex couldn’t be blamed. However, he decided to take Dex along to check out the warehouse where the deal will take place. That’s when Dex spotted a gunman and tried to push Sonny out of the way.
Mac (John J. York) stopped by the Quartermaine estate to wrap up The Hook case since that’s where it all started and was surprised when Maxie (Kirsten Storms) showed up. She was there to tell everyone about the Nurses Ball and solicit donations. She even asked Michael (Chad Duell) to be on the planning committee and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had to convince him to say yes.
Later, Mac checked in on Cody in the stables just as Cody was eyeing the DNA test results he’s been keeping from Mac for months on end. It turned out they have the same favorite beer. So they drank some and bonded over it. Mac told Cody he felt bad for killing his best friend’s twin– even if that twin was a sociopathic serial killer.
As Mac got up to leave, he noticed the paper with the DNA results. Cody did his best to get it away from him before Mac could see the truth.
