The General Hospital recap features Ava and Austin wondering what happened to Nikolas Cassadine.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

In this episode, Dante did not find Nikolas in the tack room closet like Ava and Austin expected. Willow remained resigned to death as she planned her wedding but then got some surprising news. An angry and stunned Liesl got the same surprising news. Liesl also lost her mind on Elizabeth, who could only apologize. Dex and Sonny spent time bonding over food and we learned the secret to Sonny’s spaghetti sauce. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

General Hospital Recap: Of Course, Nikolas Cassadine Isn’t Dead

Ava (Maura West) and Austin (Roger Howarth) stood in the Spoon Island tack room waiting with bated breath to see what would happen when Dante got into the closet with a crowbar. It turned out there wasn’t a decomposing body in there after all. Dante just found Nikolas’s (Adam Huss) watch and Ava played dumb regarding how it got there.

She told Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Nikolas indicated he was just going to take off to parts unknown because he was done with her and Port Charles. Amazingly, Dante seemed to buy it all and only suggested that Ava get some therapy after all that happened in her living room the night before.

Once the cops were gone, Austin let loose wondering how on Earth Ava concluded that Nikolas was dead since dead bodies don’t move on their own. Soon, we learned that Nikolas is not dead after all. He is on life support and being tended to by Austin’s cousin Mason (Nathanyael Grey).

GH Recap: Weeping Willow Gets Her Miracle

As Nina (Cynthia Watros) kept vigil at the hospital wondering how she could help Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) from afar, Willow sat at home ready to die and only wanted the woman who kept her identity from her for the last nine months to help her plan her wedding. In fact, she asked Carly (Laura Wright) to be her “matron of honor” and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to be her bridesmaid.

At GH, TJ (Tajh Bellow) finally had some news for Liesl (Kathleen Gati) regarding her bone marrow blood test. It turned out that Liesl is a match. She will have to be tested for health issues, but TJ felt optimistic that they could finally save Willow.

When a thrilled Nina called Willow to tell her what was going on, she found her number was blocked. So, she called Michael (Chad Duell) instead. He also didn’t want to pick up so she had to call multiple times while Joss and Carly rolled their eyes. Michael finally answered, decided to be nasty, but apparently finally listened to what Nina had to say.

When Willow arrived back downstairs after her nap, Michael, Carly, and Josslyn informed her she had a match. They didn’t tell her who her match was, but we are sure she will be surprised. Hopefully, she will also be grateful.

General Hospital Recap: Liesl Goes Off, Sonny Talks Sauce

Before Liesl got the news about her bone marrow, she slapped Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) straight across the face because she somehow blames her for Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) death. Since Liz knew after Rory (Michael Blake Kruse) was killed that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was not The Hook, Liesl feels if she had told the police, they would have figured out Heather (Alley Mills) was The Hook and Britt would have lived. It’s a stretch but that’s where Liesl’s head is.

Scott (Kin Shriner) tried to convince Liesl that the cops had no clue for nearly two months who The Hook was even after they realized Esme was not the prime suspect, but Liesl decided Scott had blood on his hands since he negotiated Liz’s immunity deal. Meanwhile, Finn (Michael Easton) tried to defend and comfort Liz. He promised not to be overbearing and to respect her boundaries. Liz thanked him for that and walked away.

Over at his money-laundering Italian restaurant, Sonny (Maurice Benard) was surprised that Dex (Evan Hofer) found his old recipe cards and made them a meal. As they ate, they started talking about cooking and Sonny told Dex that he learned everything about food from Gloria Cerullo, Lois’s mom, and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) grandmother.

In fact, he learned how to make his special spaghetti sauce in her kitchen and the cards Dex found belonged to her. Sonny also revealed the secret ingredient in the spaghetti sauce she taught him to make was celery. That explains everything. After they finished their meal, Dex was alarmed when Sonny shut him out of a meeting about Pikeman.
