The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, December 12, 2023, features Ned offering Nina an out, but it will come at quite the cost.
Also in this episode, Scott made two plays for love, Dante found a treasure, and Brook Lynn accepted Tracy’s offer. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Ned (Wally Kurth) started his afternoon by faking out his mother. Tracy (Jane Elliot) saw him with his guitar and assumed Eddie was still around. Ned played into it for a few minutes as Tracy got herself all worked up. “Are you quite finished, Mother?” Ned asked and Tracy was thrilled.
The joy took a turn, though. Now that Ned was back, she wasted no time demanding that guitar go back to the attic and Ned get back to ELQ business. It was time he did right by his family and undo any damage done by Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Michael (Chad Duell).

Meanwhile, Nina (Cynthia Watros) had a good time in her office with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) talking about toys for the tots. The ladies enjoyed catching up after Willow expressed worries her mother was drifting away from her. Nina promised she wasn’t doing it on purpose. She was just busy with two companies, being married, and the holidays.
No sooner did they get the gift ideas sorted than Ned busted up their little gathering. Once Willow took off, Ned closed the office doors and laid out his plans. He’d be happy to keep taking the fall for the SEC fiasco, but only if Nina does his bidding. He wanted all the dirt and insider info on Aurora!
Over at Kelly’s, Liesl (Kathleen Gati) showed up for a drink with Scott (Kin Shriner). He told her he missed her and asked for a second chance — a request Liesl declined. Scott then wondered if she was travelling the world to hide from her grief — a notion that angered Liesl and she stormed off.
Scott chased her out the door and offered to help her walk through her losses. Liesl teared up as she talked about how devastated she was by Nathan and Britt’s deaths. How is it she’s still here when her children are not? (Look back on Britt’s death here.)
Of course, Scott used their shared sadness as an in to make another move. Liesl politely declined, wished him the best, and left him in the dust.
At the same time, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) showed up to see Maxie (Kristen Storms) and overheard all about her financial woes. She offered to make things right by lending Maxie the money but Maxie shot her down.
Maxie was thrilled to hear about the engagement and see BLQ’s ring, though. She was even excited to plan the big day. In fact, she’d had plans in the works for quite some time. Guilt-ridden, Brook Lynn went home and accepted Tracy’s offer to give her Deception.
Back at the office, Lucy (Lynn Herring) came in to whine to Maxie about being torn between Martin (Michael E. Knight) and Scott. She must have said the latter’s one time too many because Scott showed up to invite her to go away with him for the holidays…to see Serena, of course.
Back at Kelly’s, Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) about her surrogacy plans. Sure, it was a mess the first time she offered, but they are all ready now. She was going to give their little sister the baby of her dreams.
Sam was apprehensive but proud — and distracted. She kept waiting for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to text and worried about the case he was working on.
Also at the pub was Brennan (Charles Mesure) and Roman (Michael Engelhardt). Roman worried about them being seen, especially since this is Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) ex’s cafe. It was a risk Brennan was willing to take, though. Plus, the only person in this town who could ID him is Anna (Finola Hughes).
That may not be true anymore, though. Not only did Dante find the locker, he found the box with the Forsythe files. In the box was also an empty wallet and old pics of Forsythe, Anna, and Brennan. Dante took the wallet, locked the rest in a safety deposit box, and met up with Sam at Carly’s cafe.
