The General Hospital recap for Thursday, December 21, 2023, features Ned and Nina’s feud costing Michael big time.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Dante convinced Alexis to jump, Kristina made another huge offer, Felicia aired her doubts, Monica enjoyed seeing Lois give it to Tracy, and Spinelli got on a horse’s bad side. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Paying It Forward

The scene at the Quartermaine mansion was fun and festive with Lois (Rena Sofer) handing out light-up antlers. She and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) even annoyed Tracy (Jane Elliot) into donning a pair. Tracy tried to retaliate by getting Monica (Leslie Charleson) to boot out her son’s ex, but that didn’t work. Monica made it clear Lois was welcome anytime…forever. If Tracy didn’t like it, she could vamoose.

Out in the stables, a much more tense scene was going down. Michael (Chad Duell) got Ned (Wally Kurth) alone and offered him an envelope giving him voting proxy on half his ELQ shares. Ned was floored. But why?

Well, that’s simple. It’s clear their mutual enemy wasn’t going anywhere and ratting out Nina (Cynthia Watros) would mean hurting his dad and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Michael would rather do this and have peace…for now. When Willow interrupted, Michael motioned for the talk to cease.

As for Nina, she was at home celebrating the holidays with Sonny (Maurice Benard), the kids, and Ava (Maura West). She and Ava had a talk about the latter’s stalker while Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) visited Sonny and gave him the lowdown on Brenner, Roman, and their connection to Pikeman. Watch out, Dad, the Feds may pop around.

Dante left and Sonny joined the party just in time to hear Ava and Nina chatting. He asked what it was all about and Nina point blank told him a stalker left Ava a gun!

Later, Michael, Willow, and the kids arrived. Michael got Nina alone and told her Ned wouldn’t be a problem anymore. The news made her smile.

Kristina Stepped Up Again

Over at Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, important conversations were going on, starting with the surrogacy. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ (Tajh Bellow) had a long talk with Kristina (Kate Mansi) about the process and how long it would take. She wasn’t worried, though, she was still all-in. In fact, so in that she even offered to donate her egg too! (Read more about the surrogacy story here.)

All the while, Sam (Kelly Monaco) found the skydiving brochure and asked Alexis about it. Alexis explained how and why this all came about (without going into detail about Gregory’s illness) — and also that she was terrified.

Dante showed up after alerting Sonny to the Brennan case and all it could entail. Unlike Alexis and Sam, he was all for the former lawyer taking the jump. It’s so much fun! Eventually, Alexis reluctantly agreed. Fine, she’ll leap out of the “toy” plane.

Foes To Frenemies

Cody (Josh Bell) showed up at Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) house bearing gifts. He was welcomed in with open arms with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) over the moon to see him. Unfortunately, the joy was lost when Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came in. He wasn’t pleased to see the former con and made it impossible for Cody to stay.

The moment Cody shut the door, Sasha laid into Spinelli. So much so, Spinelli felt bad enough to run after him. But, not before commenting to Felicia (Kristina Wagner) that he thought Cody was up to something. As it turned out, she agreed. She even brought it up to Maxie and Sasha. She wondered if he lied about the test results and was really Mac’s son. Sasha flashed back to Cody admitting that but she remained mum to Maxie and Felicia.

Meanwhile, Spinelli caught up with Cody and promised to say civil from now on. That is, if Cody stayed on his best behavior. If not, he’d meet The Jackal! The joke was on Spinelli, though, when the horse leaned over and bit him.
