The General Hospital Recap features a Nurses Ball fun at the Metro Court and the safe house that ends with a literal target on Valentin Cassadine.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

In this episode, Valentin arranged a romantic surprise for Anna but then Lucy dropped some big news that left Vanna wanting to run. At the Nurses Ball, the performances got underway, and so did the drama. Trina and Spencer discussed their status, Cody issued a warning to Gladys, and Linc caused trouble for Blaze, Brook Lynn, and Josslyn. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Valentin Cassadine Sings A Song Before Trouble Arrives

Lucy (Lynn Herring) was horrified by everything she was watching on TV and began screaming while alarming Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). After seeing the nurses perform, Lucy announced she was both sad and heartbroken to see the ball going well and retired to her room to watch it on her own. That left Anna and Valentin in the living room alone, and Valentin understood how much it was hurting Anna not to be there.

Valentin then found a tiny toy piano and sat with Anna by the fire to sing her a song he wrote by himself with toy piano accompaniment. The song turned into a dream sequence with Valentin in a tux and Anna in a gown as they danced. They then settled in for more romance by the fire, but Sonny (Maurice Benard) texted to tell them Victor had checked out of the Metro Court.

Soon, Lucy entered the room and couldn’t wait to tell Valentin that his singing was wonderful. Lucy accidentally let it slip that she snuck out to the Metro Court earlier, and Vanna was immediately alarmed. Anna and Valentin then realized they were sitting ducks and prepared to get out of there. As they walked out of the house, Anna noticed a sniper’s red target light on Valentin’s chest, and shots rang out.

Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) had already told his goons to dispose of Lucy but keep Anna and Valentin alive. He also planned something dangerous backstage at the ball and announced he would not be leaving town alone.

GH Recap: Spencer And Trina Make It Official

Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina met up at the bar where the underage college young adults ordered non-alcoholic drinks. Spencer made sure to tell Trina how beautiful she was and said he should have asked her to be his date, so Trina asked the ultimate question — why didn’t he?

So, Spencer questioned why she told Sydney Val Jean (Chandra Wilson) that they were just friends. Before she got a chance to answer, Sonny interrupted them. Trina got her drink and walked away as Sonny directly asked Spencer where Victor was. Spencer said he expected Victor to be there and was surprised that he wasn’t. Spencer was then shocked to hear that Victor had checked out of the Metro Court.

When Spencer later found Trina alone, he brought up their kiss and asked if it would something she’d like to do again. Trina was very happy to say yes. Spencer then asked for clarification as to whether they are a couple, and they most certainly are, so all Sprina fans can now rejoice. Too bad, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) interrupted another attempt for a kiss.

General Hospital Recap: Nurses Ball Music And Drama

It was chaos backstage as Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) tried to make sure everything was ready for the Nurses Ball opening number. Having a llama there for no real reason also likely didn’t help.

Finally, the performances began with the nurses on stage, as well as Dr. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) soon offered a moving tribute to Epiphany (Sonya Eddy), dedicating the ball to her. Next, Josslyn and Trina performed their number with an adorable rendition of Why Don’t You Just Meet Me In The Middle.

Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) sat with Sonny as Gladys showed off her new diamond bracelet that Sasha borrowed from Deception. Gladys was in all her glory, dressed to the nines and Sasha was happy to report that she was doing better both mentally and emotionally. When Sonny mentioned the court removing her guardianship, Gladys looked alarmed.

Cody (Josh Kelly) sat with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) at the next table with Cody keeping his eye on Gladys to see what she was up to. When he was able to corner Gladys alone, he sarcastically asked her if she planned to pawn the bracelet since she went and sold Brando’s garage just to pay for her poker debt. Gladys told him to stay out of her life, and he threatened to tell Sasha about using her money for poker unless she didn’t come clean herself.

Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) was alarmed when Linc (Dan Buran) walked into her dressing room as she was getting changed. Soon, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) arrived and was not happy to see Linc in the same room. Brook Lynn told him to get out and then asked Blaze if Linc had just done anything to him. Blaze kept mum, and later BLQ and Chase (Josh Swickard) met up, and she told him she regretted ever signing that NDA.

Later in the night, Linc approached Josslyn and told her that he could make her a star, creeping Josslyn out. When Brook Lynn saw what was happening, she looked like she was ready to take action.
