The General Hospital recap features Liesl Obrecht taking the bull by the horns and thinking of something none of the fools around her could come up with.
In this episode, Liesl (Kathleen Gati) ran to Terry with an idea to save Willow. Also, Willow had to face the fact that she might die soon as Michael remained in denial. Nina and Sonny shared some bonding time with Donna as Sonny showed his daughter the new baby. In addition, Elizabeth tried to tell her secrets to Scott while Finn and Ava tried to stop her. Finally, Alexis did her best to get Gregory to change his whole life. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
With Nina (Cynthia Watros) not being a match, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) counted on her baby’s umbilical cord to provide enough stem cells to save her life, but alas, it was not meant to be. The doctors weren’t able to get enough stem cells from Amelia’s cord to do the transplant, and Willow only has weeks to live unless a bone marrow donor is found soon.

Willow asked Michael (Chad Duell) to leave her alone so she could process the news. But Nina was distraught after Carly (Laura Wright) informed Sonny (Maurice Benard) of what was going on, and he had to break the news to Nina. Liesl saw the look on her niece’s face, and the thought of Nina losing a daughter the way she just lost one prompted Liesl to demand that Terry (Cassandra James) test her to see if she is a match for Willow. It’s nice someone thought about the fact that Willow now has an instant family thanks to being Nina’s daughter.
Liesl acted like her old self around Finn (Michael Easton), a man she once declared her enemy for no particular reason when she was still chief of staff at GH. She told Finn that if Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is in trouble, she has her ways of getting people out of trouble, and he looked as if he was about to tell her Liz’s Wyndemere secret.
That’s when Scott (Kin Shriner) showed up fresh off his visit with Elizabeth, insisting attorney-client privilege prevented him from telling anyone why Liz wanted to see him. This prompted Finn to take off to see Elizabeth, but she had another visitor first.
As for Finn’s dad, he got a job offer from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to work at The Invader, but turned Alexis down. That didn’t stop her from doing her best to get Gregory (Gregory Harrison) to change his mind.
Elizabeth came thisclose to telling Scott everything that happened in the north tower with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Nikolas (Adam Huss) and got as far as admitting she was an accessory to a crime when Ava (Maura West) showed up on Elizabeth’s doorstep to chat. Liz let her in and quickly got rid of Scott because she knew Ava probably had something very important to tell her.
Ava admitted that Nikolas told her everything about the fake pregnancy, fake affair, fake miscarriage, and very real hostage situation with Esme. When Elizabeth insisted she had to confess her part to the police and apologized in advance for them searching Spoon Island, Ava did her best to convince Elizabeth she couldn’t do that to her children. She also told her that she was sure that Nikolas had left town and didn’t want to see Elizabeth take the fall for the Esme debacle all on her own.
Still, Elizabeth insisted that she had to tell the truth, prompting Ava to make an emergency call to Austin (Roger Howarth) to see if they can diffuse the situation.
