The GH spoilers recap for Friday, August 12, 2022, features Cody Bell telling his sob story and Scott Baldwin making a gut decision.
GH Spoilers Recap Highlights
Down at the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) questioned Cody (Josh Kelly) about what was really going on between him and Scott (Kin Shriner). That prompted Cody to explain that he thought he was the son of the cooks at Serenity, the Bells, which would have made him Katherine Bell’s (Mary Beth Evans) little brother. When Mother Bell died a few months ago, she told him that his mother was really the great Dominique Taub (Shell Danielson), who lived in the big house with Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia).
Dante told Cody he could relate to such shocks because he learned that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), a known criminal, was his father as an adult. Plus, he only learned this because Sonny shot him. So, who has the better long-lost daddy story here?
Over at Charlie’s Pub, Scott sat down with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to discuss Cody’s claims. Britt suggested that Cody was probably lying and Liesl seemed to agree but Scott said he could tell by the look in Cody’s eyes that he was telling the truth because it’s the same look he sees in Serena Baldwin’s eyes.

General Hospital Recap: Rory Stopped Portia
When Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) tried to get into Oz Haggerty’s (Max Faugno) hospital room, Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) stopped her and told her she wasn’t an authorized doctor. Portia tried to sweet talk Rory into letting her just look at Oz, but Rory wasn’t going for it.

After Portia was gone, Rory called Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and told her that Portia tried to see Oz, and he found it suspicious. Jordan was already curious about what was going on because TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) had told her that he almost brought Oz out of his coma early, but Portia talked him out of it.
TJ also mentioned that thought to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who understood when TJ explained that Oz could die if he had brought him out of his coma too soon. Later, Portia ran into Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Trina and spoke in code to let Curtis know Rory got in her way, but she was going to try again.
GH Spoilers Recap: Jordan Let Portia Do Her Thing
Jordan listened in when Portia was talking in code and then got in an elevator. She then thought about what TJ told her and decided it was now or never and pushed the emergency button. This prompted Rory to run from his spot, standing guard outside Oz’s room.
Portia took the opportunity to go in there and was ready to finally inject the drug to wake up Oz.
