The General Hospital recap for September 18, 2023, features Valentin determined to learn who is really after Anna.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

In this episode, Valentin and Nina got a shocker while Anna grew more worried about her stalker situation. Marty learned what Blair really wanted from him as Brook Lynn and Chase discussed her corporate espionage antics. Finally, Gregory gave Esme advice while Liz and Finn worried about Gregory’s care. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

General Hospital: Deception Everywhere

Anna (Finola Hughes) was alarmed at the note she found painted on her bathroom mirror. Just seeing her new clothing trashed made her feel that whoever was after her wanted her left with nothing. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) decided he would try to solve the immediate problem by having Nina (Cynthia Watros) show him the Metro Court security footage.

As Anna went over everything that’s happened to her over the last few months, she became more agitated and finally called the cops to report her hotel room break-in. She also wondered just how much Valentin was keeping from her. Meanwhile, Valentin and Nina sat down to review the security video and were stunned by who they saw entering Anna’s room.

Earlier, Lucy (Lynn Herring) dropped by a frantic Nina’s office to learn exactly what was going on with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), her Face of Deception, but Nina had no real answers. She explained the Cody (Josh Kelly) drama, but Lucy refused to believe Cody would kidnap Sasha. However, Nina was soon alarmed when Lucy talked about replacing Sasha.

Blair (Kassie DePaiva) sat down with an annoyed Marty (Michael E. Knight) and asked to meet the woman he was dining with. Marty tried to pretend he didn’t know the woman, so Blair let on that she knew that was Lucy Coe — and that she knew she was the owner of a cosmetic company that took her idea for the Deceptor. Marty knew at this point that Blair was working with Tracy to sue Deception.

Marty taunted Blair with the fact that her version of the Deceptor didn’t even work, so Blair informed Marty he would pay financially for giving away her idea. We also learned that Marty and Blair divorced because Blair had an affair with David Vickers (Tuc Watkins). Adultery was how Marty was able to get the divorce settlement he wanted, but Blair wanted Marty to marry Lucy so those payments could stop. If he didn’t, she’d tell Lucy he stole the idea for the Deceptor.

General Hospital Recap: Chase Men Problems

Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) tried to keep her cool as she thought about the fact that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) would be taking a trip to New York City with Trina (Tabyana Ali). When Gregory (Gregory Harrison) popped by the office, she admitted she wasn’t going home to try and avoid Spencer. She explained to Gregory that she could tell Spencer still didn’t trust her, and that made her uncomfortable.

Gregory tried to give Esme life advice as she continued to claim she was a different person and that being a good worker and a good mother were the two most important things to her.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Finn (Michael Easton) discussed the Gregory situation as Finn struggled to stay out of decisions between his father and his father’s doctor. Later, Finn was worried when Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) suggested Gregory might not have the best doctor. Liz didn’t feel the doctor treated patients on a personalized level. At least Gregory told Alexis he was determined to live his best life while he could.

Chase (Josh Swickard) was surprised when Brook Lynn informed him Maxie (Kirsten Storms) fired her as both an employee and her BFF. She explained that Maxie blamed her for what was happening with Deception and that she should have told Chase the truth about Tracy helping him get his job back. Chase then told her that what was done was done, and he forgave her. That didn’t mean Brook Lynn was ready to forgive Tracy for making her steal the Deceptor info to begin with.
