The General Hospital recap for September 29, 2023, features Spencer and Trina taking their relationship to the next level.
In this episode, Spencer and Trina affirmed their love for one another in NYC. Back in Port Charles, Nina informed Sonny what Gladys had been up to while Carly and Michael planned new ways to get Drew out of jail. In Switzerland, Laura and Kevin continued to look for Nikolas as Mason paid a visit to Ava at Wyndemere. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Trina had the time of her life seeing Moulin Rouge and couldn’t stop gushing about it during her fancy dinner with Spencer in New York. She was also grateful that he made time for their relationship with all that was always going on with Esme and Ace. When Spencer said he loved “us,” Trina responded by telling him she loved him for the first time.
Spencer admitted that he’s loved Trina since the first day they met two years ago. We even got a montage of flashbacks from the last year and a half. When it was time for dessert, they both declined because they wanted to get back to their hotel room. Once there, the bed was full of rose petals, and they finally made love. Sprina even got their own song.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived home to find Nina (Cynthia Watros) already in bed. They caught up on their days and discussed her vague concerns with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), prompting Nina to finally tell Sonny what was going on with Gambling Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs). Sonny was absolutely livid, as expected, and quickly deduced that Gladys was responsible for the Ferncliff mess. Sonny promised that Gladys would be dealt with.
The subject changed to wedding planning, and Sonny suggested they forget the planning and just elope to Sonny’s own personal island.
Drew (Cameron Mathison) was clearly traumatized by his shower beating as he had nightmares about it in his hospital bed. At least Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was by his side to keep him company since she was so grateful for bringing Liesl home from Greenland. She did her best to keep Drew cheerful by talking about Wiley, but surprisingly, Willow also praised Nina.
Willow also had a nightmare when she fell asleep on a hallway couch. She thought she saw Harmony (Inga Cadranel), who came to warn her about someone or something. However, she couldn’t hear everything Harmony was saying.
Back at the Q gatehouse, Michael (Chad Duell) and Carly (Laura Wright) once again tried to figure out who really called the SEC because they somehow thought that knowing who reported a crime could make the crime go away and Drew would be free. However, Carly was still ready for plan B –digging up dirt on the judge to get Drew out of Pentonville.
In other random hospital happenings, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) caught up as his shift ended. He was sad that she would be going back to day shifts, but it didn’t stop them from flirting. Later, Liz spotted Finn in the locker room showers and decided to join him. At least they only kissed before she made a quick retreat.
Ava (Maura West) spent a lonely and rainy night at Wyndemere with a martini and dreamed of the day she could sell Wyndemere and move back to the mainland. She was soon alarmed when Mason (Nathanyael Grey) showed up and tried to kidnap Ava. Soon, Wyndemere was empty.
Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) continued searching for Nikolas in Switzerland by meeting with a banker Laura knew. She thought they could track him down by following his Swiss money trail. The banker told them that Nikolas (Adam Huss) had withdrawn money recently, signaling to Laura that Nikolas was alive. After Laura and Kevin left, Nikolas arrived to make another withdrawal.
