The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, October 24, 2023, featured Michael’s gentle side coming out. In a surprise twist, he kept his news about Nina to himself.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Cyrus showed his true colors, Brook Lynn bore the brunt of Lucy’s pain, and Portia continued hiding worrisome news from her husband. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
General Hospital: Martin Warns Nina’s Nuts
Michael (Chad Duell) found himself under threat when Martin (Michael E. Knight) turned up at his office door. Martin all but dared him to run and tell Daddy everything because it would not end well. Does Michael forget exactly who Nina (Cynthia Watros) is and what she is capable of?
Michael didn’t listen. As soon as Martin was gone, he made a beeline for Sonny (Maurice Benard). Sonny’s excitement over his new bride and being a married man gave Michael pause. He even took a beat when Sonny showed him the pictures Nina so carefully chose to give to Michael and Carly of the children. In the end, he could not bear to break his father’s heart and left well enough alone. Instead, Michael got out his phone and called Nina’s office. Better to talk to her directly, right?
General Hospital Recap: Dangerous Demands
Mason (Nathanyael Gray) got some good news from TJ (Tajh Bellow). He was being released and going to jail. That didn’t sound very good to him, though. Not at all. However, that turned out to be the best part of his day.
While Mason was moping, Austin (Roger Howarth) was taking on Cyrus (Jeff Kober). He grabbed him in the hospital hall, stole him into a room, held a scalpel to his throat, and demanded answers. How dare he try to have Ava (Maura West) killed?!
Cyrus cried innocent and convinced Austin (Roger Howarth) to let him in the room with Mason. Once he got his wish, Cyrus went to work forcing Mason to confess he went rogue. He then threatened Mason to stay in line…or else. Austin acknowledged he was wrong.
Speaking of Cyrus, Laura (Genie Francis) had questions of her own — for Scott (Kin Shriner). She found him in the Metro Court with Lucy and hauled him away from the table. It didn’t take her long to figure out how Cyrus was affording the lawyer — he was using the same fund he donated all his money to!
GH Recap: Beautiful Moments Go Bust
Meanwhile, Lois (Rena Sofer) did what mothers do best and meddled in her daughter’s affairs. Not only did she put her two cents in about the possibility of Tracy giving Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) Deception, but she also invited Chase (Josh Swickard) to the house. As if that wasn’t enough, she got BLQ and Chase to make beautiful music together.
Their good time came to a crushing end when Lucy showed up to scream about BLQ and Tracy (Jane Elliot) stealing and ruining everything. Brook Lynn took her lumps like a champ and bore witness to Lucy signing the papers.
Not having a good day was Portia (Brook Kerr). She ran home from work to escape the likes of Cyrus but she did not find much relief. Instead, she kept her mouth shut about her troubles and had lunch with Curtis. Not only did she hide the truth from him about Cyrus’s release, but she asked Laura to do the same when she showed up. Laura did what she was told when Portia left to go back to work.
Back at the hospital, TJ touched base with Portia about his patient. He expressed there is something about Mason he just does not like.
